“We had a lovely time staying at Charlie's place on Fort Salonga! The space is a cottage, but they have done a great job with updates and making it feel upscale, comfy, and homey all at the same time. We loved the location. It is tucked away off the road and feels like a small slice of heaven. There was a tree swing that overlooked the ocean, a firepit, and just 10 steps down from their yard to the beach. The covered porch extends the indoors outside with seating, a new grill, and additional burners for cooking. There was even backup propane for when we ran out! There are so many small, but thoughtful, touches that really elevates Charlie's place! There were games, a Roku and big screen tv, a bluetooth speaker, large beach umbrella, fishing poles, and beach towels and chairs. Even just many practical things that other AirBNBs often don't provide including basic seasonings and other cooking essentials, soap/shampoo/conditioner, bug spray, etc. I would not encourage you to take advantage of or rely on these things being there, but it was nice for any forgotten items! The only thing that I had wished we had more of was kitchen dishes/utensils/tupperware/cookware, but we were able to make do with what we had. As advertised, the beach was rocky- glad we had water shoes. The ocean seems to wash up a bit of seaweed onto the shore, and in the afternoons when the tide goes out, the water gets a little murky. We were able to go out into the ocean during the daytime (with our shoes of course) and enjoy floating around with our noodles. Charlie was very responsive with any questions we had- both before and during our trip. We also had the pleasure of meeting his sister, who stopped by to introduce herself in case we had any additional needs. Charlie's dogma of trusting those staying in his home to be respectful (without imposing a slew of rules which you would probably follow anyways but feels burdensome) is rare these days. So PLEASE, if you plan to stay at Charlie's place, be respectful of him and his place and don't ruin it for the rest of us. This place is a GEM!”

“We had a wonderful stay at Louis' studio suite while in NY visiting family for a week! Louis was so thoughtful in leaving us a welcome note with cupcakes & fruit when we checked-in, and fully stocked the fridge with soda & water for us to enjoy. With the anxiety from COVID-19 around cleanliness, we couldn't have been happier to find the suite was immaculately cleaned, as advertised, upon check in. The suite itself is spacious, newly renovated and well designed to leverage every inch of space to enhance your stay. Louis was quick to respond to my questions on the day of check-in, and even shared a list of local recommendations for groceries & meals. Would definitely stay here again!”
