Gamtunet is a charming old log house with a top modern architectural extension including all commodities. The view is spectacular encompassing the Lyngen landscape from the view to the Ulsfjord to the alpine peaks of Trollvasstind, Sofiatind and the Jiehkkevárri massif. We still have lots of snow in the mountains so it looks like skiing will be good all through May at least.
“This place is amazing. We had a great time there. The cabin is very good situated (near the ferry) and extremely modern. We had everything we needed and the parents (check-in & check-out) are super friendly and really helpful. One can really see and feel that this place was built with love. You should keep in mind that the next supermarket is in lyngseidet (20 min by car). We really enjoyed our stay in the cabin and it’s perfect for staying at the lyngen alps.”
The perfect spot to watch northern light, skiing the Lyngen alps, fishing, diving, hiking, biking, kayaking, meditation.
“The first time in Norway and in December. We looked for a couple for 10 days to see the northern lights. The house is a blast! Surroundings: We could see the northern lights from the terrace every day unless it was cloudy. The sea is less than 50m from the house, and that's not a lie. You can see it and hear it rustling from the huge windows. If you want to get up early, you can watch moose from the window like we do, also at 5 a.m. behind the house. At this time of year, everything is covered in snow and ice. The view from the inside of the surroundings is indescribably beautiful. Mountains covered with snow and little lamps of the cities on the banks. The moon can be seen all day despite the fact that the sun only shows from 9 am to 1 pm. In this sunny time you can go for nice walks in thick clothes. Accommodation: It is not a lie if it says there is food! Coffee, tea, SodaStream, milk (lactose-free), juice, cocoa, muesli, bread, butter, oils, flour, sugar, pasta, rice, preserves, spices and a freezer full of food. It certainly changes from time to time, but Björn's principle is really nice and totally great. Take and give. The nearest grocery store is about 40km away. Tip: it is best to get cold cuts at the supermarket on arrival. Take a look at what is in the house before it becomes 3 packets of pasta. It is really thought of everything! Board games that everyone knows (e.g. Uno), TV that can be connected to the cell phone via W-Lan, plenty of wood for the fireplace, telescope, binoculars, kitchen appliances for everything, underfloor heating in the entire ground floor, washing machine, dryer, shampoo, towels, bathrobes , Soap and lots of little things other travelers have left there. For the cold season there were even spikes, hats, thick shoes, snow shovels, sand and much more. Host: Björn we thank you from the bottom of our hearts! He is a host that everyone wants. If you do not know what is there, he will answer every question. The information from before helps him immensely. If you can't find the way to the house, it is accessible and helps. Björn will let you know when the weather gets a little uncomfortable. He gives damn good tips, such as an app to see the Northern Lights (Aurora). Where and which is the nearest supermarket or where there are beautiful hiking trails along the sea. It makes you feel at home. In a place in the world where you can enjoy rest, relaxation and recuperation. takk for the fantastic bryllup trips. ”
Ground floor apartment with separate entrance. Suitable for 2-4 persons who wants an affordable and easy standard. Beautiful location by the sea, and view to the majestically Lyngen Alps. You can also rent boat for sea fishing, and guided tours for fishing or hiking. A brand new sauna with glass ceiling and glass front by the sea, with view towards the Lyngen Alps is available for rent.
“The accommodation was clean and check in was easy. The sofa bed is unfortunately a bit uncomfortable, but can be held for a few nights. Unfortunately we only saw Roy briefly and had no opportunity to get to know us or to receive personal tips. But there was a self-made booklet with all the information and Roy was always available via Whats App. The area is beautiful and can only be recommended for a short break in nature. We made a campfire on the footbridge of the Fischer Häuschen, everything necessary is available and can be used. Unfortunately, we have not tried the sauna, but it is certainly worth using! The views of the water and the mountains are beautiful. Fortunately, we also saw the northern lights on the last evening. Nice short vacation in nature!”
