VisitVisit the Treehouse of the Royal Palm at the ARK. You will experience the magic of our tropical flora and fauna, and rolling rain on a metal roof in rural Puerto Rico "el campo". This unique experience is complete with the occasional visit by bats, birds, geckos and coquis (local frogs). The jungle vibe is evident the moment you enter.
“We loved our stay at Janine and Matt's treehouse! Our only suggestion is for you to be aware of the location being directly inside the woods, which means there are plenty of bugs if there isn't much wind. The accommodation was great nonetheless! We do encourage you to bring insect repellent if you aren't fond of bugs. There were definitely a few nervous laughs within our encounters with them! However, thank you for the great stay -- spending the night in the treehouse was very rewarding.”
Satisfy your adventurous spirit at our custom built round house in the mountains of SW Puerto Rico. Peaceful, private, secluded getaway features two bedrooms, kitchen, full bath, covered patio, sundeck, and outdoor shower. Borders the Maricao Forest. Your only neighbors are coquis and tropical birds--you may even glimpse a rare Puerto Rican parrot! Your stay helps support the nonprofit Renewed Hope-see description for more info.
“This place is hard to get to but it is a special experience. The cabin has pretty much everything you could need for your basic comfort and is completely private in the middle of the mountain forest. The peace and tranquility are irreplaceable. The descriptions of the facilities are accurate- so read them carefully so you know what you are getting into. You want to travel light to the cabin or plan on making a few trips up and down the hill. If you want to grill don't forget to buy charcoal before you head up into the mountains. Also the hosts provide excellent suggestions for other activities in the southwest region, so if you want to spend multiple days up here you can plan additional activities (day trips) from waterfalls to lighthouses to kayaking to beaches and still return to your mountain hideaway.”

“Good place 👍 to stay for a family of 4. It has one bedroom with with a.c., and a flat screen T.V.. The bathroom entrance is right next to the bed. The living room, kitchen, and dining table is the first thing you see when entering the house, and there is a full size sofa bed in the living room. The house is clean with mainly all essentials, except for a washing machine, and no t.v. or a.c. in the living room--except for a fan that works pretty good. All and all it's a pretty good 👌 place with a nice yard for kids to play, and always bring mosquito repellent.”
