A comfortable and peaceful base with everything you could need on your adventures in Wānaka or Central Otago. The space has been set up with an attention to families (pets included!), couples, and working professionals. The backyard is private, fully fenced; an oasis safe for all pets and/or children. We hope you enjoy starry-filled nights while relaxing in the spa and gaze at the wild native garden with tasteful evening lighting. MTB guests are welcome - only a 500m ride to Sticky Forest.

Lake front & the closest house to “That Wanaka Tree." nestled amongst beautiful mature gardens and stunning trees with direct access to the 6 acre Wanaka Station Park. All guests can relax in multiple zones or in the SPA and SAUNA. Close walk to town with direct access to walking and bike tracks along the lake to Wanaka or Glendhu! Big enough and ideal for two families to be comfortable, multiple couples, company retreats, large families & groups. Comes with a cool cat to hang out with :)

A 2020 one storey built modern spacious home (approx 240 sq m) situated on a hill boasting amazing lake and mountain views, whilst still being a short walk to the lake and Wanaka township. Sun drenched, warm family home with separate living and bedroom wings with a connected partially covered central deck which provides an attractive outside dining option. Rocklands Retreat is a newly built spacious modern house 5 minutes drive from the lake with a light airy feel, surrounded by mountain Vistas in a new neighbourhood. The interior has been thoughtfully designed to be comfortable with every modern convenience yet also have an individual character feel. Four spacious bedrooms ( two with ensuites) and two open plan living areas plus a fully equipped kitchen set up for casual entertaining make it the perfect set up for one or two families to share.

Fig Tree House

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Located in Albert Town near the Clutha river, it is a 2 minute walk to the Patisserie, Four Square shop, Pub and Takeaways, with a great swimming hole a 5 minute stroll from home. The home has a sunny sheltered deck and I am often on hand for any tips and tricks, as I have moved into my back yard garden. There are two bikes and two kayaks available for use as well. We have cycle tracks in all directions to explore the surrounds.

Peninsula Bay Summer Pad

Loads of room for the whole family in this 4 bedroom house, with wonderful indoor & outdoor entertaining areas, close to the community pool, a short walk to the lake and less than a minute to sticky forest mountain bike park and walking trails. The house has a wrap around deck with sliding doors from both the dining room, lounge and master bedroom. The back deck has an outdoor table, couches and Weber bbq. The house is fully fenced, and we are happy to take dogs by arrangement.

Great stay and location. Perfect for our time in Wanaka attending a friend’s wedding, plenty of space for 3 couples and would also be well suited for families. Host was informative and friendly, responded to messages right away and very helpful. Would recommend and would stay again.

Our stay at "the sun catcher" was great. The home was very roomy, clean and well positioned to the town centre. Our 3 night stay was very enjoyable. Home Base was very responsive and easy to communicate with. The cost of stay is on the high side but we do recommend the Sun Catcher to other travellers.

The location was great, but the house wasn’t quite what we were expecting. Quite an old place with dusty carpets. As long as you don’t have high expectations it is fine, but it was still a bit expensive for the level of house in my opinion.

This home is perfect for two families. we loved playing cards and having so many other games and books to keep us busy for indoor times. We had cars so the location worked for us, its not too far walking either but we have young kids so driving was a better option. the home is large and tidy. loved having a fireplace, outdoor patio and swing for the kids.
