Holiday rentals with a kayak in Lake Placid

wonderful property and lots to do. even though we could not control the weather this property really has everything you need and the view of the lake was amazing. fishing on property was also great and was able to catch a few.

Alan was a great host and was extremely accommodating! we will be back for sure! maybe in the summer next time!

This place is a gem!! Feels very homey yet big enough that you don’t feel right on top of everyone. Very peaceful, Beautiful views, comfy beds, wonderful kitchen and overall a great space especially for a bigger group of people. Close to Main Street and all the restaurants. I would HIGHLY recommend!!

Our first time at Lynda's home in the woods. Place was exactly how described! Was very cozy and we had everything we needed for our stay. Great location, very private and close to skiing and town. We enjoyed to sauna every day. We got to relax and really enjoy ourselves. Lynda was very quickly to respond and was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely plan to go back, we loved it!

I was very happy with the location and how easy it was for me to bring my kids on the lake and learn to fish. Beautiful views and a pleasant place to stay.

We enjoyed the backyard and kayaks immensely! Great yard for kids and pup to play in. Close to White Face, Lake Placid, and Ausable Chasm. Beds were very comfortable and so many thoughtful amenities. Jennifer was in contact with us to make the rental perfect! We hope to go back in the fall or winter in the future.

Kelly’s place was the perfect home base for our triathlon crew to stay during our training camp. Kelly’s local recommendations were spot on, her homemade cookies were delicious, and we loved the area. We would definitely return!

This cabin at Rainbow Lake was the perfect place for the quiet retreat my adult son and I needed. Cozy living room with new wood floors; small but perfectly functional and well-stocked kitchen; comfortable beds and pillows; updated bathroom and easy-to-use shower; hot water was very responsive; washing machine/dryer are much more modern than what I have at home (the manual was easy to find!) Our favorite spots were the dining table by the picture window overlooking the lake, and the Adirondack chairs on the dock at lakeside. The cabin is in a secluded cove, and the water was as smooth as glass most of the time. We even saw a loon several times, even though it was late October! There was just a little road noise during "going to/from work" times (can't call it "rush hour"); the rest of the time, just wonderful silence and the whisperings of the pine trees. We didn't use the kayaks, fire pit, or barbecue. Ten-minute drive into Saranac Lake for groceries, etc. We'd love to come back!

Lynn was very responsive to questions and very helpful to our situation. I appreciate that she let us bring a extra child last minute. She reached out through out the week just to see if we needed anything. Very nice camp on the lake. We will be back again Thanks !!

Charles place is a perfect location to enjoy the lake views and the tranquil setting. The house is well outfitted for cooking meals and enjoying time inside and outside. The neighbors were very friendly and we enjoyed some time by the firepit with them one evening. Charles was a great host and I recommend a stay here anytime!

Perfect home base for a peaceful ADK getaway. Lots to do in close proximity to cottage. The place was great. Very quiet. Coffee on the deck overlooking the river was a great was to start every day, and a cold one by the fire was a great way to end each day. Would definitely stay again.

The cottage was as beautiful in person as it was in the pictures! My family and I loved our stay and will surely come back in the future. Michelle was a great host, quick to respond and very accommodating. We enjoyed the canoes, kayaks and SUPs provided in the boat house. Great new memories made!

This cottage was comfortable, homey, peaceful and my husband and I found it to be relaxing! It was clean and had all the amenities we needed and more in the pantry. The bed in the master was very comfortable. Since the cottage immediately overlooks the lake, the view was beautiful, as we watched a few boats and sailboats go by. We read, started a puzzle. We even swam in the lake and our water shoes helped to walk over the rocks. The restaurant at the Indian Bay Marina offered good food and drinks. The host was responsive and kind and when we arrived, we found delicious breakfast items in the frig. Even though the weather brought us fog, smog, rain, and some sunshine, our stay was truly enjoyable. We hope to visit again.

Catherine's place was perfect for our weekend stay. The kids had so much fun on the paddle boards, the kitchen was well stocked and spacious and the whole house was spotless. Highly recommend this for a great place on Lake Champlain!

Adam was an incredible host. He was extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay providing recommendations and quick answers to questions whenever needed. The home was immaculately clean when we arrived. This also had to be the most well equipped Airbnb I've ever stayed at. From the kitchen supplies, board games, vinyls, CDs, to the throughly detailed guidebook written by host, I was so beyond impressed! The most outstanding part of this stay is of course the location and the views this home provides. It provided the perfect private oasis for a stay to just unwind and unplug. I'd highly recommend this stay if your local for a tranquil, low-key retreat.

Cairn Cabin was the perfect home base for our family of six to explore the Lake Placid area. The couches and beds were comfortable, the kitchen had all the amenities we needed, and we had plenty of space to spread out. It might not be the best spot for a family with young children as the stairs are rather steep, but it worked perfectly for us and our teens.

Amazing spot. Probably the coolest Airbnb i've ever stayed in. Really nice cozy cabin. Perfect spot very close to downtown, but far away enough to feel like you are in nature and not be bothered by anyone else. I'd highly recommend the spot to anyone.

My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful stay. Our dog immediately fell in love with the space both inside and out. It was great to have a place to stay with our dog where we didn't have to worry about others around (our dog is a bit reactive to other people), and we could easily go outside and immerse ourselves in quiet, peaceful nature. We wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely have to consider staying again if we come back up to visit the Adirondacks in the future!

Fantastic spot! Meticulously maintained cabin that has everything you need. We were two families with kids and it worked out nicely. ‘Went in the winter, would be happy to come back again in the winter or in the summer or any season, it would be lovely any time of year!

Fabulous three night stay- kayaking, fishing, walking and enjoying camp life. Great location on a beautiful lake. Well equipped kitchen and we ate all our meals in house. Great boathouse.

Camp Timberock is a rare find. We chose the cabin because of the unlimited options for paddling and hiking. Despite the cold temperatures, we took advantage of the area and spent a lot of time exploring. One of my favorite parts of Timberock would be the deck with the outdoor fireplace. We also appreciated all of the supplies in the kitchen, the extra blankets and the endless supply of wood for the fire. Hope to return next year!

Great way to end our summer. Very peaceful, as advertised.

The extra touches made me feel like i was staying with a longtime close family relative. Amazing location and all the extra touches to make us feel like the place was ours.
