Fitness-friendly holiday rentals in Lake Monona

The Dylin is my new favorite spot to stay in Madison! While booking through AirBnb, you will still get clear check-in instructions and information via email/text and they are available 24/7 via text message which is very helpful! The location is perfect for walking to local bars, restaurants and the beautiful Lake Mendota. Street parking is available if you can find it but varies with timed parking/no parking time slots - spend the extra $20/night with secured garage parking offered by The Dylin.

Kari has a wonderful home. The basement apartment we stayed in was perfect. It was private and had a great view. It was just as described and we didn’t want for anything. Kari even helped us get set up in advance, putting out a crib and age appropriate toys for our kiddo. Checking in was simple and smooth. I would absolutely stay here again the next time we are visiting.

We loved our stay here! It was just what we needed. The hot tub was an added perk, and we also enjoyed watching the little robot lawnmower do its thing! Would definitely come back again!

We stayed here with our dogs and really enjoyed it! The house is beautiful and near a couple cute little towns for walking around and getting yummy food/coffee. The fenced area of their yard was perfect for our doggies. The neighborhood and home offered us a very peaceful place to stay for our vacation :) would definitely recommend and would stay again!

This was our third time staying at this house and it was still easy, convenient, and with everything we needed. The location is great for accessing some of the local ski resorts, and there were enough bedrooms and space to accommodate three families and a gaggle of kids. The whole process was easy and Brittney was responsive and helpful the whole time. Looking forward to returning next year!

We had such a great stay! The host went above and beyond, they called us ahead of time to see if we had any questions or needed anything, which was such a nice touch. They also checked in via text on the day we arrived and again on check-out day to make sure everything went smoothly. The house was very well equipped with everything we needed, and it felt like a home away from home. Our kids especially loved the game room and had a blast running around and playing in the spacious yard. It was the perfect spot for a relaxing and fun family getaway during our stay for a wedding. Us adults really enjoyed the views of the river and all the different seating areas.

Check-in was a breeze and when you walk in you are greeted with a beautiful rustic kitchen and beautiful living room. Kristi went above and beyond leaving us a bottle of sparkling wine and some Fannie Mae chocolates along with an anniversary card (33 years). The beds were comfortable and the view from the back deck is exceptional… horses, rolling hills… perfect get away for us. We used the hot tub on our last morning and it was enjoyable. Peace and quiet. We loved seeing the horses and even had one head bobbing to the music we were playing. An amazing weekend!!! We will be back! Thank you, Kristi!!!

Jarvis and Chris are the kind of hosts who go above and beyond. We arrived after a chaotic day and were instantly welcomed with warmth, a surprise graduation cake and wine, and the peaceful reset we didn’t know we needed. The property is absolutely stunning—pictures do not do it justice. The trails are beautiful and serene, and the animals are the sweetest, most well-loved crew. You can feel how much care and heart goes into every part of this place. They also provided the best recommendations for dinners, hikes, and activities! If you’re thinking about booking—do it. You will not regret it. This place is a true Wisconsin gem. The love, care, and intention poured into it is obvious. We’re so grateful for this experience and already can’t wait to come back!

Jennifer’s place is a great place to stay. The basement is quiet and peaceful and the bed was very comfortable. It was just what I needed after a long day at a wedding. Jennifer is very friendly and accommodating and I wish I had gotten to chat with her more. I would definitely recommend staying here!
