Holiday rentals with lake access in Lake Huron

main pros: right next to highway. well maintained property. hot running water,wifi, kitchen,etc.. everything is just like home. kayak, firepit , bbq. main con: not isolated enough, if you are looking for such isolation experience.

Wonderful home with stunning views of the lake—peaceful, quiet, and the perfect setting for our friends reunion. Ivonne’s restaurant recommendations were spot on and made exploring the area even more enjoyable. A great place to relax and reconnect. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful space and super responsive & accommodating hosts! The place looks exactly like the photos and was a really nice space to spend the week. The only thing I wish we knew ahead of time was that the neighbours are pretty close on all 3 sides so it does impact the privacy of the backyard at times!

Our stay was a wonderful experience! Rick and Shellie provided helpful instructions prior to our stay and even provided a guest book with helpful information about local restaurants and fun things to do. We really enjoyed that the house was walking distance to the beach. The house was spacious, clean, and had all the amenities we needed. This was a great find!

We had a great stay at Tracy's cottage. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Being pet friendly was a huge bonus for us. Kitchen was well stocked with lots of spices and condiments. The beach is lovely and peaceful. . Tracy gave us some great recommendations of places to visit nearby which we enjoyed. Thanks for a wonderful weekend!

This beautiful Place is the best so far that I've ever stayed at. Melissa was very responsive easy anytime we had to contact her. This place is the truly the most comfortable and serene. I highly recommend this cozy getaway! It was above and beyond our expectations. Plenty of games and amenities to keep you busy but also a lot of places to relax and read a book. If the sky is clear at night, the stars are beautiful. Host is very responsive, polite, and she made sure we had everything we needed.

Lisa was a wonderful host and even met us at the door when we arrived to make sure that we were settled in okay and knew how everything worked. She checked in throughout the stay just to make sure everything was okay which I appreciated. I would gladly stay here again as it was the perfect location for when we come to visit Lapeer. The place was very clean and lovely and the appliances were easy to use. Thanks again Lisa!

Looks exactly as listed! Great views from the balcony with nice natural light from inside. The evenings had plenty of relaxing fireplace heaters inside with dim light settings. Heated bathroom floor was my personal favorite. A great park to walk in nearby made it the perfect relaxing getaway we were hoping for!

We loved stopping the night at Jeff & Tess’s apt while passing through to Killarney It was homey, cozy, comfy bed with a wonderful stroll on the beach. But what we loved most was the offer to sit and enjoy new friendship and conversation on their porch. Thank you so much for the generous hospitality. We will definitely check in again if passing the area!

This is a basement apartment Airbnb, which I usually try to avoid, as we have experienced a basement Airbnb where we could hear every word the owners above us were saying. But this basement Airbnb we could not hear anything above us, so it was private. There is a soaking tub/shower with a rain shower shower head. The tub/shower, being a soaking tub, is high to get in and out of. But it has excellent water pressure. The bathroom is not right next to the bedrooms. We always bring our own nightlights in case this is the case. So, with the tall tub and bathroom not near the main bedroom, I am not sure I would recommend it for older people such as ourselves, but for a younger person, it would be perfect.

Carina’s place is a small gem - cozy, neat and beautiful with a wonderful backyard. The hosts are very responsive and helpful.

We were two retired couples who rented the apartment for 3 nights. Very pleased. Walk-able location in Little Current, on the main street. Great views of waterway, bridge, and sunrise from the comfortable balcony. The apartment was as shown in pictures and as described. Chris was very helpful. Instructions for parking, entrance, and use were clear. With central location and over businesses, over night noise could be an issue. Sound generators were provided in the bedrooms. Beds and linens/blankets were comfortable as were living room furnishings. Loft bedroom wasn't used, note that ceiling height is limited beyond the centre of the room, as in the pictures. Bathroom very nicely renovated, hot water and towels great. Kitchen was well equipped for utensils and pots and pans. Bring you own condiments, spices, and tea/coffee for the kettle and basket coffee maker provided. Note that access stairs are steep and internet was slow. TV not 4K and sometimes had to wait to spool the feed.

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at this chic, spa-like cottage in Saugeen Shores near Port Elgin. The location was perfect—peaceful yet close to everything. Every piece of furniture and decor felt thoughtfully chosen, creating a cozy and stylish atmosphere. We especially loved the multiple serene seating areas at both the front and back of the property—perfect for relaxing with a coffee or glass of wine. Candice was a fantastic host—very communicative and helpful throughout our stay. A truly rejuvenating getaway!

The cabin and property are beautiful, exactly as described. There was plenty of space for our family, with comfortable shared areas. My younger son loved the upstairs loft room, which was so thoughtfully decorated with kids in mind. We enjoyed lots of campfires with the provided wood, and playing football in the large private driveway. We weren't able to take advantage of the kayaks since it would not be possible to walk that far carrying kayaks (you'd need a truck or something to transport them). Oh, and we did spot a black bear walking down the path in front of the house!

Enchanting house and area, we felt beyond great with our three year old. The house and garden are very beautiful and you have everything you need and more to dream through the day! We would love to return one day!

We recently stayed in Sarah’s beautiful cottage by the lake in Hale,MI over Memorial Day weekend.Its a very easy drive from Ann Arbor.This destination worthy cottage is beyond beautiful with Rustic and modern farm house feels! Everything at the cottage is thoughtfully and meticulously planned and you can see the labor of love of the owners at the property. The place is warm and inviting like and we had a wonderful time in this little slice of heaven with gorgeous views. Hot Tub was a bonus since the Temp was still in 50’s.Sarah was very kind and responsive through out our stay. You couldn’t ask for better Hosts!

We enjoyed our stay in Wiarton at Ildiko's cottage on the lake. He facilitated a smooth stay for us with prompt communication, clear instructions, detailed guidelines. The cottage is tucked away on a quiet street with friendly neighbors making you feel right at home. The lake access is spectacular especially with the availability of kayaks and paddle boats at the cottage, giving you an adventure right at home as well as a leg or upper body workout. The cottage is located in an excellent area, not too far from Collingwood to go jet skiing in the warmer months, not too far from Tobermory to go hiking, sightseeing, scuba-diving and not too far from the nearest town to restock on basic amenities. Overall we found our cottage stay to be relaxing and a good recharge for us, we would recommend family and friends to stay here given the opportunity.

Our host was very friendly and proactive in sharing helpful local tips, which made our stay even smoother. The place was spotless and well-maintained, and the surrounding scenery was absolutely beautiful. We really enjoyed our time here — highly recommended!

It was a great weekend away! The cabin is so nice inside and out! I will definitley keep this place in mind if we ever do something like this again. Totally recommend:)

David was very accommodating and responsive host. He always wanted to give us the most accurate description of what to expect. The cottage is very nice and quite, we were there for the weekend along with another couple in the property in the neighboring house. We had a great stay and enjoyed being outside for the most of the time enjoying the kayaking and the outdoor fire camp. The house is nice and comfy, has all necessary things for a short couple's retreat. Overall great and we already booked to return in the summer, hopefully with a warmer weather labeling us to swim and snorkel in the beautiful area.
