The Blas Payne is a historically significant true mexican adobe. It has been lovingly renovated with handmade cupboards from Mexico and a wonderful patio where you can watch the sunsets. Easy walking distance to downtown and the Post Park. Blas Payne was named "the best cowboy in west Texas" by the Houston Chronicle. His great grandfather was a medal of honor winner as a trumpeter for the Army. His family were part of a group of black seminole Indians who did scouting for the Army.
