House holiday rentals in la Jolla Shores Beach

I am a San Diego local, but my family was coming to town and we needed more space. I picked this place because I knew my sister and brother-in-law would love being able to walk to all the restaurants and brewery nearby and my 6 year old nephew would get a lot of use out of the pool. The place exceeded my expectations, it was perfect for everyone. We spent a lot of time in the backyard swimming or playing board games, and my Mom got a lot of use out of the hot tub. Communication with the host was excellent and the place was comfortable and clean. The only downside is my family might visit too often now!

Great home and the hosts were very responsive to issues. We had a sink that backed up and we notified the host and they had it fixed while we were out sightseeing. Home was beautiful and very comfortable for my family during our trip!

Stay at Katri’s was great. Had delicious cookies waiting for us when we checked in, which was a breeze. House was spacious and entire lot was very big. Pool was great and even after we had told them that no heated pool would be necessary, Mother Nature had a different idea and gave us some more than unexpected chilly weather, so they had no problem throwing the heater on for us. Freeway in the background was hardly a noise problem for us personally. Just far enough that it didn’t affect us, and was nice to see what our morning commute was going to be like. Brought two dogs with the group that absolutely loved everything (after one of them finally got over his fear of the staircase). All in all a great stay in a great neighborhood. Cant comment more how quickly they responded to us in the days leading up to the trip, and while we were there. Great hosts!

Great location and the house had everything we needed. beautiful home, nice decoration and really nice view from the jacuzzi.

Loved staying at Su’s beautiful Airbnb! The kitchen was well stocked with everything you might think of from aluminium foil to a pressure cooker. Plenty of silver wear, plates, bowls, pots, pans, cups and mugs. There was a lot of towels and extra blankets and covers and plenty of extra space for people to lay on and sleep. The backyard is as beautiful as the picture but a bit smaller than I expected which isn’t that big of a deal but very beautiful! This is the best vacation I ever had and I think it’s because of this beautiful airbnb that felt like home. Su is extremely polite and responsive. I asked her to heat up the pool and she did right away. I also asked for propane and she provided the same day! I will definitely be coming back to Su’s Airbnb.

Honestly this home was absolutely breathtaking. Definitely worth staying there a million times. Beautiful backyard and interior. Would 100% recommend. Host was very kind and helpful. Whole family loved the home. Surrounding neighborhoods was peaceful and quiet. Great home, overall GREAT EXPERIENCE ❤️👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

If you have a family with children this is the PERFECT place! Not only are there plenty of toys and board games to keep the kids entertained, there is also a pool and jacuzzi. This rental even had toothbrushes and toothpaste along with sunscreen and aloe in case you forgot.

Our family enjoyed our stay in this adorable home. It had everything we needed for a weekend stay and was very comfortable, clean, nicely decorated and centrally located. Lindsay was super responsive and the home had great bonus areas such as the rooftop. Thank you!!

The house was beautiful and the beds were super comfy. We ran into a few minor issues, but the host was responsive, communicative, and quick to resolve everything. The highlight of the stay was definitely the backyard — we spent most of our time relaxing out there day and night. Great setup and entertainment. The host also accommodated us with a late checkout, which made our departure much more convenient. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely few days at the apartment. Location is great as walkable to Bird Rock and La Jolla and the gorgeous Windansea beach is at the end of the road. The apartment is comfortable and well-equipped with extras such as beach towels. We had lots of use out of the roof terrace and hot tub and enjoyed the quiet residential location. Although you can walk to a few local places, a car is definitely recommended. Worth noting that the car parking space is located behind the property on a separate lane.

Nancy was an incredible host. Staying with her is like staying with your cool aunt. The location is phenomenal. A short walk away from Windansea beach, and a short drive/bike/golf cart/etc from tons of other great beaches, great restaurants, and just tons to do and see. My wife, daughter, and I stayed over Father’s Day weekend, and Nancy bought us some cupcakes for my first Father’s Day. If this place is available, you better book it fast!!

This home was exactly what we were looking for. Our family gathered for a reunion, loved that there were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms but also had an intimate vibe. Perfect for the grands with high chair, baby gates, pak and play and sand box! Proximity to beach, walkable neighborhood and close to coffee/ice cream was also a plus!

Kimberly was very helpful and prompt when we had a few questions. The place was a lot bigger than we thought it would be which was great. The location was also great!

This is a great space, especially for a family. We really appreciated the carpeted living area, abundance of toys, and grassy space in the front and back yards for our 11 month old. The location was ideal, just a short walk to the beach and La Jolla Shores shops/restaurants. This property is set back from the main road; however, there are still some traffic noises that reach the bedrooms, especially on the weekend. Would recommend bringing eye mask and ear plugs just as a backup. For the most part this was a non issue and we had great sleeps.

The hosts were very accomodating and communicative as well as the place exceeded our expectations. It is beautiful, well kept, and has everything you’ll need and more. The beach and plenty of restaurants and corner stores were within walking distance. The sleeping arrangements were super comfy and clean. Snacks, water, coffee, toiletries, laundry, and beach supplies for the family were provided and made us feel taken care of. We especially enjoyed sitting by the fire at night. 10/10 recommend! My family and I are looking forward to making it an annual stay.

Our stay at the Carter Cottage was beyond words. We struggled to find a home that could accommodate our group for the weekend we stayed and we were overjoyed to find such a perfect retreat. Not only was the home well positioned in town near the sunset cliffs and local eateries, it was hard to leave because the house was designed so beautifully. Every detail was thoughtfully done. We really had a hard time saying goodbye at the end of our stay. We will be making this our destination going forward. Thank you Ashlyn and Travis!

This place literally felt like paradise. If you didn’t know you were in San Diego, you would feel like you’re in Hawaii! The backyard was so beautiful that we spent the majority of our time out there in the pool, hot tub, and tiki bar! The upstairs patio was fantastic for outdoor eating. The hosts were super communicative with any questions we had prior to and during our visit! We definitely can’t wait to stay again in the future!

My stay here was exactly how I wanted it to be. The home was very clean and had a lot of necessities like cookware, silverware, shower products, and so much more! Everything was super neat and organized. The bed was extremely comfy. The host was very easy to communicate with and made sure we had everything we needed, also made sure all our questions were answered. I am looking forward to staying here again when I return to San Diego. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is thinking about staying here. You definitely get your moneys worth.

Stunning view of crashing waves and Surfers was a delight. Deck at big wide window area where you can drop mattress and sleep with that view was USP of this place. Would loved to have another bath with shower but it was fine for our stay of 2 days. Overall I would recommend this place for typical San Diego vacation and relax.

It was absolutely charming. We enjoyed our short stay, only regret was not having more time to enjoy it more. Beds and bedding was comfortable. Kitchen is fully stocked. Plenty of thick towels and beach towels. My grandsons loved sleeping in the loft. We were 20 minutes away from Sea World minutes from great parks for the boys. The owner was wonderful. We have stayed in a lot of home rentals over the years and feel this is the best we have stayed in. Arturo was responsive and easy to contact, helping us change guest size with no issues. The house was great, it was like walking into my own home with everything I could think of needing along with being clean and well maintained. It is close enough to everything in San Diego and has plenty of things to do in the neighborhood. Felt safe and comfortable and all the neighbors were friendly. We have family in the city and all agreed we would stay here again the next visit and will recommend to everyone coming to town.
