It has been gradually renovated and revitalised (currently in the process of revitalisation), with whitewashed clay walls, natural Kenji-ji bamboo fences, and more.Originally an old house opened as an almost 100% inbound accommodation.We are conducting a semi open-air bath in the interior of the warehouse and renovation work centered around the water. ■ Soothing moss garden ■ There are three moss gardens: the front garden, the middle garden, and the back garden. Well water flows everywhere, including through a fountain, a basin, a stone basin, a stream between stepping stones, and a pond. Designed by the host, an architect who has won numerous awards overseas. Not extraordinary, but a "delicate life" with the theme of enriching everyday life. You can experience that kind of life here. There is a separate indoor bath from the Hinoki bath, but the view of Setouchi and the starry sky from the Goemon bath, heated with firewood, is the best. If you're lucky, you'll see artificial satellites and meteors. The water heated by firewood never gets cold. It warms you from the core of your body. The bedding is specially ordered from a long-established bedding manufacturer in Kyoto, and the bath invites you to relax your body and mind and sleep soundly. Most guests say they sleep well. During the day, you might want to spend some time in the lounge filled with houseplants. Enjoy the sunlight shining through the trees from the skylight. Here, the right answer is to do nothing and just be. How about emptying your mind? If you request at least a week before your stay, we can prepare local food from Oshima Island and seasonal food that we can get through a special route. If you wish, you can also dine at a counter made of pure cedar, similar to a traditional Japanese restaurant.

Dinner at the popular restaurant "Umimachi Bar Ameri", where you can enjoy the local cuisine and music, is one of the highlights of the trip. A tranquil place nestled between mountains and the sea. It is not only an ideal base for cycling and island tours, but also has a workspace and is perfect for a relaxing stay. In the early morning, a walk along the calm sea, surrounded by tranquillity and the song of birds, is a truly soothing experience. About 550 metres from the accommodation, along the seafront, is the "SUNSET STAY OMI OUTDOOR LOUNGE", which is exclusively for guests. Enjoy your time as you please in a space surrounded by the sea, mountains and sky. The entrance to the approach to Himezaka Shrine is next to the inn, and the narrow slope lined with old houses from the early Showa period is a great place for a stroll.From the path through the mandarin orchard that leads up to the shrine, you can enjoy stunning views of the sea and the islands. At night, the sky is filled with stars, and in summer, the Milky Way shimmers. Enjoy a relaxing time surrounded by the sound of records, with coffee and juice made from locally grown citrus fruits.

I created this accommodation because I wish there was a place like this. ☆This is not a hotel. We want you to think about how you want to spend your time. On sunny days, enjoy morning coffee on the large wooden deck. In the cold winter, warm up with a wood stove, and make and eat a delicious meal yourself. Play your favorite music, and read surrounded by books lining the walls. Take a walk to Gero Station while catching a glimpse of life in Gero. Fishing at sea, picking azaleas, bamboo shoots, and wild potatoes in the mountains, and eating them yourself. Long stays are recommended. Based at Shimonada Cabin, it is about an hour's drive to Matsuyama City. 2.5 hours to Shimanto River. 3 hours to Shikoku Karst. Shopping can be done in Iyo City or Nagahama Town, or you can buy from local fishmongers and greengrocers and cook for yourself. Of course, you can also eat at a nearby restaurant if you book. Anyway, I want you to relax at Shimonada Cabin. One night is too wasteful. I recommend at least 2 days. It is a place that can be enjoyed in good weather or bad.
