Peaceful cabin by the water

We are 3 brothers gathering once a year and this time we were here. We wanted an undisturbed and quiet place. Here, Øystein and his wife Rachel had made everything possible for us to have a nice stay. It was clean and tidy and linen/towels had been put on. We were above average lucky with the weather and could sit outside in the outdoor area where we grilled and sat comfortably in good outdoor furniture. We had a nice stay and fine for us brothers to disconnect from a hectic everyday life. Great experience and nice host w/wife who contributed to a good experience. Peaceful and peaceful place. Incredibly cozy to sit outside by the fire pit in the evening. Yvonne is quick to respond and we felt homey right away. She had even bought a new oven so it didn't get too cold in the evening. We also got some dog food. 10 out of 10, can be highly recommended.

The wooden house makes a very beautiful impression and has a wonderful indoor climate. It is lovingly furnished, tastefully furnished. We were always there in winter and the cabin was still wonderfully warm is electrically heated and even has a working fireplace. in the living room there is a large window directly out to the lake, the view is so beautiful that you could sit on the sofa for hours to look out and contemplate the winter landscape. On the road about 150 m behind the hut, there is not too much traffic. You can also get used to the combustion toilet quickly. Malin and Simen are quickly reachable if there are any questions. For us, it was a beautiful stay in a really nice cabin!

We spent Christmas and New Year in the most wonderful surroundings - the cabin is on the top of a small hill in the middle of the forest. We experienced the most wonderful nature on our trips in the area. Despite the fact that the kitchen was small and primitive equipped, we could easily make a traditional Danish Christmas dinner and festive New Year's Eve menu. Vacationing for 14 days, in a cabin without electricity and water, where the heat comes from a well-functioning wood-burning stove and the light is provided by candles and kerosene lamps, was immensely relaxing and romantic. If the opportunity arises again, summer and winter, we will repeat the success. The fact that there was also lots of snow was an added bonus.

A very nice spot for spending some days in the area... super clean, and very comfortable! Right at the lake, with amazing viewers views, and paddle boards to use to explore! Lots of games and toys for kids. Thanks for sharing the place!

Beautiful home that was welcoming, festive and relaxing. Accessible to local towns and ameneties but still tucked well away in the countryside. We had a fabulous time and Veronica was quickly in touch to explain how to use equipment in the home. The kitchen was very well equipped, which made self catering for a large group very easy. Will visit again

A wonderful place to stay and we would definitely book again. It wasn’t completely clear that the host keeps some of his own belongings there including some of his Wine collection. We have not come across this before, but it was all fine. We will definitely rebook.

Jon was a fantastic host, who was always available for questions. He was very friendly and took fantastic care of us. The accommodation was in a great location, so we could enjoy the tranquility on the river. The facilities in the house left nothing to be desired. On the first day, Jon even brought us eggs, which we could then enjoy for breakfast every day. Jon also offered us the use of the canoes or fishing. All in all, the accommodation and Jon are fully recommended as a host. We would definitely come back !
