This house was designed mainly for foreigners.　

The owner lives outside the prefecture and uses it as a vacation home. We cherish the extraordinary space by decorating with paintings and furnishings that give you a taste of Japanese culture. I will welcome you as a valued guest who can come to my private home, so face-to-face check-in and common sense conversation and interaction are required. Wifi is available. A parking lot is also provided. Transportation is not convenient in the mountainous area, so please go out by car if possible.

こちら下灘駅の隣駅、JR上灘駅の目の前の大きな建物の２階にあるのが 喫茶&宿ポパイ。 今から65年前、伊予上灘駅前にオープンした、小さな商店と食堂です。 いずれ３階建ての大きなスーパー&ファミリーレストランポパイとなりましたが、その後の人口減少により衰退。レストランは半休業状態になっていました。そこに、神奈川に暮らしていた大学生の孫が 一念発起。「大好きな双海のばあちゃんちを守りたい！」と、 移住し喫茶店を引き継ぎました。 そして念願のゲストハウスを、喫茶店の奥にオープン。 個室が２つ（２人部屋、４人部屋） 半個室のドミトリー６ベッド の最大12人が泊まれる昭和レトロなお宿で、 喫茶ポパイに併設しています。 この予約ページは、相部屋ドミトリールームの半個室・一人部屋です。 喫茶ポパイでは、創業当初から続く地元のいりこを使った中華そばや昔懐かし鉄板ナポリタンほか、地元の柑橘やフルーツを使ったパフェやシェイクなどのスイーツ、サイフォン珈琲などをお楽しみいただけます。の落ち着いた宿泊先で、ご家族一緒におくつろぎください。
