Holiday houses in King

We were looking to unplug and surround ourselves with nature and peace, and Linda's Lakehouse allowed exactly that. The property is perfectly tucked into the woods after a lovely drive through gorgeous farmland. Upon arriving, we were struck by the view of the gorgeous lakefront. Almost every room in the house affords this view and all the bedrooms have balcony access. The house is in pristine condition and is equipped with everything one would need/want, as well as many bonus items! We were there over Thanksgiving weekend and the house was so beaufully decorated for Christmas! We loved it! Also, the house was such a cozy place to come home to after our chilly brisk hikes. Linda has an eye for design and the home is truly an inspiration. Linda was so welcoming and communicative, always letting us know she was there to help. This experience was a 10 out of 10 for us for so many reasons. We'll cherish the memories!

We needed a quick family-friendly getaway, and this place delivered. Everything we needed for a fun weekend, and nothing we didn't. Cozy place, right on the water, perfect for re-connecting with our 2 young adult children for a few days.

Brian is a helpful host and was totally flexible when travel schedules were not going according to plan. The place is lovely and close to every place I needed to be. Will definitely choose this one again. Thanks Brian!

We like to stay in Waupaca while my daughter, who has special needs, is at Wild West Campgroud for horse camp. This allows us to be near in case something were to happen. The cottage is fantastic. Very cute and recently updated. It had all the supplies we needed for cooking, including a charcoal grill on the top deck. There was also one below deck (along with a pizza smoker), but we didn't use that one. Towels and linens were provided. I would recommend to future guests that they bring their own toilet paper, paper towels, washcloths for the bathroom, and dish rags for the sink. I also recommend bringing lawn chairs. There is a beautiful yard that we didn't get to take advantage of because we didn't think to bring chairs. The view of the lake is very nice. The lake itself...not so much. You cannot swim in the lake. It's very shallow with a mucky bottom. We brought our kayaks and skillfully got them into the water. There isn't really a good spot to do this, but we're in shape, so we managed just fine. The lake is great for a peaceful kayak or canoe trip around. We saw a lot of wildlife -- deer. bunnies, frogs, geese...just to name a few. The cabin really is close to everything. We brought our bikes and used the Wau-King Trail to go to Clear Water Harbor Resort, and then biked back on the roads. We also biked downtown one day, and visited South Park beach, which is really nice. Again, you can get there using the Wau-King trail. We were close to everything and took advantage of all that Waupaca has to offer, including the chain o'lakes, the public swimming pier at Marl Lake, a kayak trip down the Crystal River (with Adventure Outfitters), and Hartman Creek State Park (the trails by bike, and swimming at the beach). We even through the bikes back on the car and took a trip down the Tomorrow River trail in Scandanavia -- a short 20 min ride away from the cabin. All in all, a fantastic vacation! Thank you, Abby!

The Treehouse in Waupaca, Wisconsin, was perfect for our family Thanksgiving, blending nostalgia and charm into an unforgettable stay. The 70s-inspired decor, with wood paneling, vibrant patterns, and retro furnishings, created a cozy atmosphere that transported us back in time. Each corner was a tribute to Wisconsin Americana, filled with knick-knacks and vintage accents. The spacious layout accommodated us comfortably, with ample room to gather and enjoy meals. The well-equipped kitchen made meal preparation easy. Large windows offered stunning woodland views, adding serenity to our celebrations. The game room was a highlight, perfect for relaxation. The pool table sparked friendly competition and laughter into the evenings. With vintage board games and cozy seating, it enhanced the home's warmth and entertainment. Overall, The Treehouse is a gem for those seeking a unique getaway. It's an ideal retreat for holiday celebrations, offering 70s charm and Wisconsin Americana warmth.

We enjoyed how peaceful the area was. We were looking for a place on a smaller lake to kayak and relax. Plus, it had to be convenient to the wedding venue. This place checked off all of our list if wants.

The cabin was so peaceful, and very beautiful. We got to use the pontoon earlier and later than expected. The kids had fun with all the stuff she had there, kayaks, swim pad, tubes. More if your kids are younger. Highly recommend, she was fast to respond. Would definitely stay there again, heck all summer if I could
