It is furnished comfortably in an uncluttered & simple style, with locally-made Swahili/East African furniture. Our home is partially run on solar power and the gardens and swimming pool are fed with collected rainwater. Between dips in the pool and swims at the nearby beach, take a meditative walk among the 40+ coconut trees, tropical flowers, & endless plants. Sanjarah Cottage is a delight. It is a wonderfully designed space set in a lush garden, with two en-suite double bedrooms, a gorgeous swimming pool and a long veranda with dreamy day beds. The open plan living room and very well equipped kitchen, offers a great place to chill and the cottage is fully staffed. It’s an easy 20 min walk to the beach and a few minutes to the creek. Nyumba Watamu - Villa and Garden - is a beautiful Kenyan Villa located in a very quiet area, a few steps away from the "centre" of Watamu and Watamu beach (less than 5 mins walking to the centre and the beach, no need for a mototaxi!). The villa was conceived to let a gentle breeze go through the whole space, keeping you cool! It is fully furnished to make you feel at home, with daily housekeeping (on request) and a child-minding environment, including a laundry service, to relax and unwind.
