In the Edo period, it was moved to its current location as a shrine to protect the safety of people travelling along the highway, and its history still remains in the quiet precincts. We recommend visiting the shrine for a morning stroll or before heading out to Aso. If you go up to a slightly higher ground, you'll find Tatsuta Onodatejo Park. It is a small local lookout spot with views of Kumamoto city and the surrounding mountains. We also recommend visiting from dusk when the lights come on in the city. The convenience during your stay is also one of STAY TATSUDA's charms. A supermarket, a convenience store, and a bus stop are all about a 3-minute walk away.
