Beautiful remote southeast Alaska waterfront home

Our beautiful home is located off grid/off road, far from the crowds in southeast Alaska. You cannot drive to/from us. We transport you in our cabin cruiser on arrival/departure. Our fabulous location is ideal for for wildlife watching, nature walks along the trail in the forest, saltwater and freshwater fishing, canoeing/kayaking in the bay and adjacent river and self guided hunting for Black Bear and Deer and use of a 16ft skiff/25 hp outboard with saltwater fishing equipment, canoes/kayak.

Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located hideaway. Located across the street from Rotary beach. Friendly walking path also across the street that local neighbors daily walk to see wildlife, whales, and have an ocean escape. Two parking spots on site. Grocery store and gas station are a 2 minute drive. Bear viewing is also a 4.5 miles drive south. Downtown district is 3.5 miles north where you’ll find the famous “Creek street” and other tourist shops and seafood restaurants.

It is located down the driveway from Refuge Cove State Park with one of the best beaches on the island. It is only 2 miles form Ward Lake with its miles of rainforest hiking trails along lake and river. Yet at the same time, it is not far from town. There are also sea kayaks and paddleboards available to rent for use directly from the house.
