Holiday rentals with lake access in Kent County

Ina was a great communicator - from initial contact, instructions for the house, to checkout! She couldn’t have been better. She was quick to respond and very helpful, which made everything super easy. The house had such an amazing view! Our water-loving dog found the river within 5 mins of getting out of the car!! Great amenities (incl. kayaks, life vests (even for the pup!), well stocked kitchen, bed linens, comfy beds and furniture, nicely decorated, and clean)! It was an easy ride to town. We went to get a bit of a respite from our busy lives for a few days in the off season, and the surroundings were just what we needed. One downside was that the utilities (refrigerator and heat) are rather loud when they turn on, so if you’re a light sleeper, you may be bothered. We were awakened a few times, but the rest of the positives made up for it!! Great spot!

A beautiful location and well decorated AirBnB, in a great area of the country. We stayed in November -- a peaceful and quiet time, with several great restaurants around.

We had a lovely family weekend at Jeremy and Michelle's home with a group of adults, two kids and a dog. We were looking for a rental that was walkable to town, had water access and was a central base for cooking meals and spending time together. This definitely met our needs. The house is well care for and full of art from what appears to be decades of traveling. The kids enjoyed playing piano, hanging out of the dock and using the kayaks. We are took a short bike ride together on Chestertown Rail trail. Saturday morning included a really fun visit to the Farmers Market in town. Friday evening we ordered sourdough pizzas from Modern Stone Age Kitchen. It was also really easy to cook meals - the kitchen is well stocked. We had seafood on the large porch Saturday evening at sunset and brunch Sunday morning. Wifi was strong. House is less than 0.5 mi (8 min walk) to downtown shops. We ended up with beautiful weather (70s and 80s) in late April. Would recommend to others!

the only reason I gave a 3star for cleanliness is bc of bugs but I want travelers to know these are only country bugs...crickets in the basement...stink bugs everywhere...tis the season, etc. We were fine with it but might be concerning for some. Despite, we LOVED our stay!! The photos do not do justice...hard to capture magic in photos ;) The nearby town of Chestertown is historical and darling and nice if you want to shop, go to a restaurant or sightsee. We cooked all of our meals in the well stocked kitchen with fresh produce, eggs and cheese from local farms and fresh herbs from the yard!We kayaked/canoed, built fires, played games, fished and hiked around property. Truly a lovely time at a special place.

Quiet,peacefull,serene surroundings.Great place to get away and unwind.

Cannot say enough about the view - beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We all enjoyed our stay and found it very relaxing. It is convenient to town which made it easy to purchase our groceries and other sundries. All in all a nice spot to hold our annual family gathering.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful place. Our extended family and dogs thoroughly enjoyed the private and peaceful location. Bobs place was provisioned very well. We appreciated the numerous coffee cups, wine glasses, etc. it felt very much like staying with family. Lovely art throughout too.

We've been twice now and love Dorothy's place. The kids can run around outside and we can grill and relax. A great escape from the city. About 15 mins drive to groceries or whatever you need, 20 mins to Chestertown. Easy drives.

This was our second time at Leone's beautiful spot on the Chester River and it did not disappoint! It's such a beautiful place and beautiful location -- we absolutely love it!! Thank you Leone!!!
