Holiday rentals with a kayak in Kent County

My husband, 18 year old daughter and 2 fur babies spent 6 days at this cute beach cottage. The hosts were very friendly and the personal, thoughtful touches aplenty showed that you were truly welcome. Most stocked rental we have ever stayed at in terms of supplies and extra amenities provided. I normally bring our Keurig and extra of everything (towels, toilet paper etc) and none of that was needed this time. The screened in porch was wonderful to view the waves and stay bug-free. A beach goer walking by commented she was very jealous of this feature. Just as advertised, steps from the water for easy access to beach walks and more. Beach was not very busy most of our stay which we enjoyed as we were wanting a quieter experience. Thank you again to the hosts for their hospitality.

This place is absolutely magical. It exceeded our (already high) expectations in every way. The beach house is gorgeous, beautifully decorated, comfortable and makes excellent use of the small space. Everything you could think of needing is there! Susan was very sweet, leaving a small welcome gift, and helpful and communicative throughout the stay if needed. It genuinely felt like we had our own private (massive) beach. It is a bay beach and Susan accurately describes it, but we were expecting hoards of bugs. We only needed bug spray one evening out of a 4-day stay. There’s tons of shorebirds, beautiful rocks, shells and sand, and there’s about a mile of beach directly north of the bungalow that’s totally undeveloped, so it feels like you’re staying IN a nature preserve. We had thought we would go out and tour some of the other nearby beaches, but ended up wanting to just stay at Kitt’s Hummock, we liked it so much! I would take another vacation *just* to stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Abubakar’s place. It was relaxing but had the right amount of opportunities for entertainment. The natural setting was beautiful - we walked to the beach and viewed migrating horseshoe crabs and the accompanying shorebirds. (The insects were in full force this time of year, so we did cover up well. )The screened in porch was a perfect place for enjoying the sights and sounds. We took advantage of the ping pong tables,bicycles and big screen tv. The local pickleball courts are within biking distance and we enjoyed a few games. Great host and property. We hope to return!

We had a lovely time at Jenni’s place! We stayed at the house for a weekend because we had a wedding to attend close by but we wish we could have stayed longer! Location was amazing and so peaceful! We thoroughly enjoyed birdwatching and relaxing on the porch. The house itself was very spacious, and beautifully decorated! Would love to return again to explore the town and spend time at the beach!

This is a very family friendly home and beach. The beach was very close and so private. I loved the fire pit and the hot tub. The way the house was divided into three living spaces on each floor was really great for our situation. There were so many amenities, such as the kayaks, the fishing poles, and the bikes. I also really liked how the kitchen was well stocked, which made it feel very homelike. The host was very responsive - within 10 minutes, even late at night. Area is nice & close to Rehoboth boardwalk, about a 30 minute drive. This is my first time in a northern East Coast beach, and it was really great. It was a bay, so there were not a ton of waves, which worked out well for our kids. But for a bay, it did seem really close to open ocean as well, so I didn’t feel like we were missing out. There was so much wildlife in the area. We saw stingrays, dolphins, sharks, and of course, horseshoe crabs. Recommend 100%. Bring bug (mosquito) spray - only negative. Will stay again!

Comfortable, very clean cottage in a great location. Has everything you need to cook meals, just bring your food and seasonings. Walking the beach every morning and evening was wonderful. We only used one bed and it was very comfortable. We had one rain day at the cottage it was a great place to hang and read our books. Birding right from the deck. One morning we watched a couple of eagles fight over a horseshoe crab and a blue heron visited every morning on the beach. Incredible sunrises!

We rented Thomas's space for our entire wedding weekend. It was truly the most incredible experience. From top to bottom Thomas helped to make this our dream weekend. The place is like its own little world. It's the most magical surroundings and the houses themselves are truly breathtaking with every amenity you could want... a disco garage?! This will forever go down as one of the best weekends of our lives!

Wonderful little get away to an adorable bayside "village". Enjoyed our visit, brought back memories of living in Delaware years ago. Thanks for having us!
