It is in the piney woods-very quiet, peaceful. There are activities for you or do nothing. You are on dirt roads, do not bring a low-riding vehicle. Very close to Lake Nacogdoches & not far from town. The owners have plans to renovate parts of it & I look forward to seeing the changes!

The spot was great, cozy, groovy, clean and the pond right outside was pretty dope. Great place to relax and unwind with a partner or just a solo getaway. Would recommend to friends and enemies alike.

The hosts were very personable and accommodating! I felt right at home from the very beginning. I stayed in the Treehouse cabin which was perfect for my solo vacation. Check-in process was straightforward with no extra time wasted so you can get right to enjoying the property. If you’re escaping the chaos of city life Stag Leap is the place to be. Extremely private, top tier cleanliness, and an amazing view to top it off!

It was best relaxing and peaceful place we have stayed at in years we will come back again when we get back in that part of Texas

The cabin was adorable. Easy access. The driveway into the cabins was extremely narrow. I had a small 16 ft trailer with me that the tires rubbed along the entryway which was not a problem but would have been easier to drive through if it was wider. Not of any fault of the host what so ever there was a storm and the electric was out due to a tree falling on the line. It came back on around 10pm and we had to leave around 7 am for our activity in town. We were not able to actively get the full experience of the cute place due to only being there 12 hours and 5 of the hours was without power.

Our stay was amazing and peaceful, the hot tub was awesome! The previous comment about lack of streaming capabilities has since been fixed, the TV and internet works just fine! 10/10 recommend for a private getaway!

Nice, comfortable stay for a night when attending a wedding at a nearby ranch. My kids loved the donkeys, horses, and cats. Host texted me their names and left us vanilla wafers to feed the donkeys.

We enjoyed our stay so much. Talisa was very kind and always responsive. The house was very homie and clean. I loved the thoughtful baskets of products incase we forgot something. Everything we needed was there.

Such a peaceful location with lots of nature and wildlife. Very beautiful house with plenty of games and activities as well as onsite hiking through the property.

This was the perfect place for a weekend getaway! We had a great time fishing the pond and river that was steps away from the cabin. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. It was also a very quiet areas which we appreciated. Andrea was an amazing host and answered very quickly to anything I needed. Will stay here again!

This cabin was secluded from the rest of the RV park. It was right on the water which was perfect for us to be able to have our kayaks on the bank and be able to get up and get right on the water to go fishing. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again if we return to the area.

Great stay for a quick weekend, wish I could’ve stayed longer! Beautiful, peaceful, and just what I needed for a quick reset. Hosts are very communicative and had everything there that was needed. Will definitely stay again if in that area.

Herbert was very nice and the cabins were great. The big windows made for a nice screen for the lightning show we had early the first morning. The access to kayaks was great and the lake is the perfect size for kayaking and just relaxing on the water. Kayaking out to view the sunset was nice as well. We fished a little off the pier and although fish were jumping all over the lake we didn’t catch any. We saw a momma deer and her very new baby walk across our yard. So cute. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. Thank you for having us.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality by Gene, who truly goes above and beyond to ensure guests have an unforgettable experience. Cabin 3 was the perfect blend of quaint charm and modern comfort—immaculately clean, cozy, and thoughtfully equipped. Our days were filled with adventure and relaxation. We kayaked across the serene lake, took the jon boat out for some peaceful fishing, and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. Evenings were a highlight as we gathered at the outdoor kitchen, sharing stories and laughter with fellow cabin dwellers. The communal space was spotless and well-maintained, making it an ideal spot for both cooking and camaraderie.  Gene’s attention to detail and genuine care for his guests made our stay exceptional. Whether you’re seeking a tranquil retreat or an active getaway, Stewart Cove offers the best of both worlds. We can’t wait to return!

Most relaxing and peaceful BNB I have stayed in.

Very nice quiet place. Whole place was fenced except for the lakefront and the back of the cabins. Dogs had fun. We had fun too. Didn’t take the canoes or kayaks out because the lake looked stumpy. Fished off the dock but didn’t catch anything.

Old sawmill village is my favorite place to relax and recharge.

Great little quaint cabin with near access to a lake. Cabin sits on a property with three other cabins near by. The cabin was cozy and matched its description well. We didn’t spend much time there, but this would be a great place to come and disconnect. Very weak cell service in the area (for TMobile at least) and no wifi so a perfect place to unplug.

Great stay close to town and Davy Crockett national forest. Highly recommend!!!
