OPEN 20 March 2026 This is [B&B Morino Akari], a quiet old kominka-style inn nestled in the mountains of Nara and Yoshino, surrounded by greenery, and limited to one group per day. (The name means "Light of the Forest") ⚫︎ During your stay, breakfast and dinner prepared by the owner are included (please refer to the photos) ⚫︎ We can also provide meals for pescatarians and vegetarians. The kitchen area is shared with Hotos. The rest is all for your exclusive use, and you can spend your time freely as if you were renting the entire building. The spacious area of approximately 230 m² can accommodate up to 8 people. It is ideal for family or group trips. There is also good access to Yoshinoyama, a famous cherry blossom viewing spot, and the World Heritage Site, Konpōzanji Temple. We have preserved the historic beams and tiled roofs while preparing the space for you to have a comfortable stay. The tranquillity of the mountains and the soft light that illuminates the night. Here, you can forget about everyday life. Because of the natural surroundings, we recommend that you come by car. The entrance features historic stone paving once used for Kyoto’s streetcars. The flooring showcases traditional “Naguri” hand-carved textures. Enjoy a serene garden view and relax in the semi-open-air bath with a Shigaraki ceramic tub. Upstairs includes a tatami room and bedroom with refined design details.

Kura Site is limited to one group. It can accommodate from 2 to a maximum of 6 people, and it has a private bath with a Shigaraki ceramic bathtub.

This guesthouse is a renovated 120-year-old traditional Japanese house located in the merchant town of Omi Hino, overlooking Mt. Watamuki in the Suzuka Mountains of Shiga Prefecture, with the concept of "nostalgic yet new." The townscape of Hino itself is somehow nostalgic and calming.
