You can reach the World Heritage Sites of Shirakawa-go, Takayama, Shirakawa-go, Suzuka, and Kyoto in less than 2 hours. Nagoya, Lake Biwa, Hikone Castle (National Treasure), Inuyama Castle (National Treasure), and Nagashima Resort are all less than an hour away. Also nearby are Yoro, Sekigahara, Mt. Ibuki, and Kasuga-mura with medicinal herbs, making it perfect for nature walks, skiing, and historical tours. This guesthouse is a renovated 120-year-old traditional Japanese house located in the merchant town of Omi Hino, overlooking Mt. Watamuki in the Suzuka Mountains of Shiga Prefecture, with the concept of "nostalgic yet new." The townscape of Hino itself is somehow nostalgic and calming. "Watamukiyama Village" was born in a corner of this town in 2019. Accommodation is limited to one group at a time, and the accommodation fee starts from the rate for two people.
