Once again. Our second visit to The Noddle. Top review for this wonderful property. Lots of quirky lovely additions to the decor. The hosts fabulous artwork on the walls throughout were a delight. All we needed was at hand, and plenty of room for all 6 of us on our mahjong game tour. Clear instructions for all the carefully maintained heating units and other electrical appliances and all wall switches/sockets clearly labelled. Lovely maintained house and garden-including the 'secret garden'. A great decking with comfy chairs to sit in the sunshine and listen to nature... and count the bunnies! What more can I say.? Thank you Tony and Penny for letting us stay in this wonderful place.

The Old Kirk was quite stunning - as soon as we unlocked and opened the door, we could see the charm and wonder of the whole place. It was superbly furnished and quite delightful, with so many interesting things dotted around... ...a real home from home and on quite a grand scale. Hoy is a charmingly remote and sometimes desolate place, but the Old Kirk was always a delight to come back to - so warm and cosy. We were particularly lucky that there was a folk music concert (Saltfishforty) on the Friday we were there, right next door in the Gable End Theatre - and we had two meals at Emily's, just up the road. The house and everything about it was excellent. Great location and close access to one of our favorite hikes on Orkney…Mull Head. Did a number of other forays to classic sites. None really far and the drives were beautiful. All the furnishings were top notch. Wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommended!

There aren’t enough words in English or Gaelic to describe how much myself and my friend/support worker LOVED .. staying @Brough Farm @ South Ronaldsay … i Love rural isolation , waterways, wild walks , seabirds and cows, stone walls and buildings ✅✅✅✅✅✅, not necessarily in that order … the capacity to self cater , with resources easily sourced from Stromness and Kirkwall , including fresh sourced fish , lamb , beef etc … have a bath after a big days walking and sleep in comfy beds , obviously adds to the bliss .. and then the cherry on the cake of our 10 night stay … was of course our timing was perfect for the Orkney Folk festival … which was sublime … Two Australians … left very sad .. from ‘our’ Orkney Island home … Mel and Graham were the bestest hosts .. and I’m deeply grateful for all of Grahams patience with sharing his farming knowledge about the darling cows and calf’s .

Great place to stay when exploring this fascinating part of Scotland. Walking track outside house, paths through Thrumster House gardens, broch on the grounds. Catherine was a great host and responded immediately - and in person - to a small housekeeping issue we had. ‘Old Smiddy’ in village (4 minute path walk) is very friendly, did great dinners but is very busy with small, chartered groups. We were very lucky to get a table for 2.

Really enjoyed our stay here. With 5 people and 4 dogs there was plenty of room for everyone. The view was incredible and it was the perfect location for travelling from as it’s right in the centre of the island. Would definitely stay again!

A fantastic place to stay in Stromness! We loved the location, such a treat to be right on the pier overlooking the harbour. It had everything we needed for our stay. Would stay again for sure! Loved it.

Great place, spotlessly clean and well maintained. We only stayed overnight though since on our way to the Orkney Islands. The ferry port is just five minutes drive away and five minutes drive out of Thurso.

Had a wonderful stay at the Coach house! What a perfectly appointed 2 bedroom home away from home. Lesley welcomed us and showed us around and the whole home was inviting, spotlessly clean and comfortable. We managed to cook a meal with ease after a week travelling around Scotland eating out. The kitchen is well kitted out for cooking and baking. We had informed Lesley in advance that we would be bringing our 10 month old baby with us, and she had installed a stair gate and put up a travel cot with linen for us. It was such a lovely touch! The town of Tain was also welcoming and made a nice place to go for an evening walk and also visit the local bakery for breakfast. Thanks again for a marvellous stay - we will be recommending to our family and friends!

The location and surrounding area is excellent, had breakfast while lambs jumped around. Accommodation is perfect and spotlessly clean. Check in was very easy and although we didn’t see our host, she communicated with us perfectly.

The time at the cottage was incredibly beautiful and slowing down. We enjoyed every second there. Peter was incredibly helpful, totally nice and had great recommendations for our time in the cottage. The cottage was totally lovely decorated, cozy and everything was thoughtful. From the hot water bottle, to the firewood, good equipment in the kitchen... We were really happy and already miss life there! We would come back any time and fell in love with Scotland a bit more!

Evelyn’s cottage was excellent. Exactly as described, in a great location, with comfortable beds and living room and well equipped bathroom and kitchen. This is exactly what we wanted and we had a great week’s stay there. Thank you Evelyn.

Not too sure what to say about this stunning house, other than WOW WOW WOW!!! If you’re looking for the perfect base for a group or family getaway, look no further (I looked far and wide before stumbling over Keiss Harbour House and what a find!!!) From start to finish, Jill has been a fantastic host. The house was exactly as described and even better than expected! We were completely blown away. We visited Keiss as a surprise 40th birthday trip with my boyfriend and 8 of our friends. We all agreed that this is by far the best stay any of us have had. There was something for all of us, walking, to beach trips, the beautiful local town of Wick, kite surfing, diving, john o’groats, lots of delicious food. A Tesco 10 mins down the road meant we were able to make great use of the brilliantly stocked kitchen, the stew cooked in the huge slow cooker provided went down a treat after a blustery day! We aren’t ones to return to the same destination but will definitely be back!

Beautiful house and gardens wirh private lake. Had everything you could need and more. House and surroundings was immaculate and was the pefect location for a relaxing family getaway.

Cantick Head is a very special Airbnb. Alan was helpful, welcoming and a great host. The cottage was amazing and had everything we needed. Well equipped, really comfortable, peaceful with the best views. We loved the hot tub and sat outside for hours watching the sea. Loads to see in the local area and Alan was really helpful in suggesting places to visit and explore. We absolutely loved it, definitely recommend.

myself, fiance and our 3 fur babies had the best time! 2 nights just didn't seem long enough! the pod was immaculate, it had everything we could ever need as well as bowls and towels for the dogs. The hot tub was just perfect and we loved our cow neighbours! what made it even more great was Yvonne, she gave us plenty of ideas on where to go and the best places to visit with the dogs. Nothing was too much trouble! We will definitely be back again in the near future 😊

Can’t describe how beautiful the location is . The house is so beautiful and the view is breathtaking . We were welcomed by golden rays of sun and a rainbow . Sarah is the loveliest and warmest person I have ever met . She personally helped us know everything about the house. The kitchen is very well equipped. Kids room was so much fun with colourful lights , they had so much fun. Due to lack of time we couldn’t enjoy the hot tub and many more things like walking down the shore or the area. We just laid down and soaked in as much as we could. Overall this stay was amazing and definitely made our NC500 memorable.

Absolutely fantastic location, with fantastic scenery nearby. Had some wonderful walks, literally behind the property. The BBQ area was fantastic like the hot tub. I can’t say much more, but I will be looking to return ASAP Matthew is a fantastic host and nothing seems to be too much of a problem. Loved the place, oh and the Highland cows are awesome.

This is a wonderfully quiet place but within easy walking distance of the town and facilities. Exactly as described comfortable and spotless, the host provided excellent instructions and directions. Enjoyed our time there. Loved the peace and quiet but also found plenty to do in Wick, we would recommend the Heritage centre and the family history section at Nucleus both with very friendly staff.
