Airlies Farm Cottage

RoslynRating, 5 stars5 days ago
There was everything we could possibly need in the cottage which is so tastefully furnished including two reclining chairs in the conservatory which is where we spent most of our time. Even on the days it rained we could relax in the conservatory, reading or doing a jigsaw, and unwind. Gina and her husband are very friendly and helpful, making us feel at home. If we could give it six stars we would!

Cruggleton Lodge, Galloway House Estate

ChrisRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Our 1st time at Cruggleton Lodge - though we have stayed at the relatively adjacent High Lodge several times. As at HL before, we had an idyllic week - which the facilities at CL provided an excellent foundation for. CL is secluded, set in the edge of woodlands, with breath-taking views out to sea. The walk through the woods down to Garlieston starts literally outside the door. Woods containing deer, hares and a wide variety of bird species. Have already booked again!

Lovely holiday home with sea views and games room.

RobertRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
A real find this place, beautiful surroundings fight next to the old harbour and a couple of doors up from the Steam Packet Inn with it's excellent food and micro brewery. Quirkily decorated with an added bonus of a games room made this really stand out. If I had to make a very minor point there was no microwave however we coped very well without. We shall definitely book again to the Smugglers for another short break again very soon.

The View

A delightful property that met all our needs. Wonderful view of harbour, and rooms thoughtfully designed and furnished to make the most of this. Helpful owner — nothing too much trouble. Comfortable, well equipped and utterly peaceful. Not to mention high quality cafe downstairs.

Relaxing, modern 2 bedroom holiday home, sea views

SallyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Laura’s house was spotless. In a beautiful location overlooking the bay and close to Galloway House gardens which are well worth a visit. Garlieston is a lovely village with a local pub that serves good food and there is an excellent cafe called the Hive. Would highly recommend this house.

This was our third stay here and it was as good as the other times we’d stayed. It’s a great location for exploring the surrounding area with lots to do and a great pub just around the corner- would highly recommend

High Ersock Cottage, Isle of Whithorn

WendyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
If you're looking for a quiet & peaceful break away from the madness of modern life, as we were, this is the very place. This is a straightforward, no nonsense comfortable & private cottage at the bottom of the farm's track, very easy to find & with a good parking patch & safely enclosed garden. Very clear instructions for everything & sensible & simple house rules which we were happy to follow, especially with regard to our dog. This is not an 'all bells & whistles' done up modern holiday let, but a genuine & older cottage - which makes you feel relaxed & at home. So refreshing to find a proper big bar of soap in the bathroom & not have to shift a mountain of fancy cushions to get into bed! Lesley, who must be a very busy person with the farm, also manages to be an excellent, thoughtful & helpful host & we are most appreciative of her kindness.
