The Castle on Champagne Ridge is the perfect getaway from Nairobi. Hang out with your friends on the spacious balcony while grilling nyama and soaking in the incredible views to Lake Magadi and beyond. The Castle is a self sufficient eco-friendly home, sleeping a maximum of 6 adults (no children under 12 years) in 5 sleeping area. The Castle is located only 18kms from Kiserian town on an all weather dirt road in the heart of Masai land away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
“The castle is an amazing place to stay, the view is amazing, in the evening you can watch the sun go down over the hills. In the morning you can watch the sun rays fill the valley with light as it's slowly comes up. This is a proper weekend gateway location if youre looking for somewhere to disappear for a weekend, or longer. I'm already planning my trip back to the castle. Would recommend this place to anyone. Deborah is an amazing host, quick replies and very easy to talk to. Her hospitality is great.”
The Tower is a cute 2 storey cottage next to The Castle on Champagne Ridge. This quaint, quirky and just a little eccentric cottage is perfect for a couple looking for a getaway destination that is stunning yet affordable. Enjoy amazing views of the Rift Valley while gently swinging on the suspended day/night bed upstairs, soak in views of the Ngong Hills while BBQing steaks or enjoying an alfresco breakfast on the private patio. Only 1 hour from Karen makes this an ideal quick getaway.
“Deborah is a wonderful host. This accommodation is located on a large plot of land next to the main house. Yet, it feels very private. The views into the valley are absolutely stunning and worth the 1.5 - 2 hour drive from Nairobi. Deborah made sure to give us accurate instructions for the route and also had prepared the house for a contact-less check-in. The house is well equipped with a fridge, small but functional kitchen and a good shower. The beds are comfortable, with special note for the suspended bed on the first floor, which is great for relaxing, reading a book etc. The area is nice and quiet and very suitable for cycling or walking. I definitely recommend this place if you want to escape the city for a weekend!”
Olelek Ranch House is a private home set on a 16 acre private ranch in a Maasai neighbourhood. It is 100 kms/ 2 hrs drive from Kenya's capital city on the Nairobi - Namanga Highway. It is 15 kms from Kajiado town ( 10 kms are on a bumpy ride, a 4x4 car is recommended) near KMQ centre.
“Patrick's Cabin is truly a Gem in the hills of Namanga. A very spacious well planned wooden cabin house with lovely views of Kajiado Hills. The children especially enjoyed a refreshing dip in the mini pool. The tire swings and rope climbing challenge also kept them nice and busy. The quiet environment where you get the various birds singing lovely tunes in the morning and gorgeous melodious sounds of frogs sending you to sleep. I would highly recommend other travelers to visit and Patrick's place.”
