Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Intracoastal Waterway

What a delightful experience! The house was as advertised and more. Kate provided many thoughtful touches (easy entertainment navigating, extra kitchen and food treats, fully stocked kitchen and cooking aids, games, beach supplies), which were wonderful surprises. She operates a pet friendly house, with pet supplies too. The location is marvelous, and the Surf City beaches are wonderful. She truly is a five star hostess, and this lovely home is perfect for a family/pet holiday.

This was my families first time at Holden beach, and we loved it. It was a very fun and peaceful stay. Peggy’s place was amazing! The home was very comfortable. My girls loved the swing outside. Peggy was an amazing host. Helpful and kind. We will be staying here again 😍

Julie & Darren were wonderful and their home was absolutely perfect for our family of 5 and large dog. there was plenty of pace for everyone, thoughtful additions such as pet toys, water & food bowls, covers for the couches, beach accessories to use. i could go on and on about how wonderful and homey our stay was. we will definitely be back!

Second time staying here. A little big for two people but our dogs love the fenced in back yard. If you enjoy a quiet, peaceful, clean home and area. I recommend staying here! We love the home and area as we prefer “lights out by 9” and this home on the dead end street will provide just that. It’s so peaceful and quiet. Only minutes to the ocean. Highly recommend, we can’t wait to make our third trip to Lydia’s.

Couldn’t ask for a better location. Gorgeous views of the ocean, easy access to the beach, walk to grocery stores and restaurants. The bottom of the house is basically a big sandbox that our 4 year old and dog could play in all day. Peaceful and relaxing vacation. We’d stay here again!

Cozy place! Very close to restaurants & short drive to the beach. Fenced yard & dog friendly was an added bonus. Host very responsive to any questions I had. Will definitely stay here again if in the area.

This place has everything you could want for a beach trip. A wagon, beach chairs, boogie boards and even beach towels. The 4 block walk to the beach is easy but the golf cart made it much more fun. Public beach access with golf cart parking available on 17th and 21st. If you don’t like the sand, the pool and hot tub are enough. Even board games for rainy days. The only thing that could make this house any better is if it were oceanfront. Thanks again for the nice house to make more memories together.

What a great place! Everything was as described. It was so nice to be able to have our dog join us on this vacation. The condo is in a very walkable location nearby coffee shops, restaurants and sidewalks even if you want to walk down N Ocean Blvd. Quick access to the beach from the condo. The oversize vehicle parking behind the parking garage is life saver since we had a Tahoe. It was great not to have to check in at the front desk and be able to go right up to the room and use the pin pad and not have to worry about having a keycard. 10/10 would recommend and will be coming back!

This is a large condo in a very quiet neighborhood. We loved the privacy it offered and felt safe at all times. Cristina was extremely accommodating and was always easily accessible. Cannot say enough good things about her!

This place was absolutely beautiful! It was able to accommodate all my family from out of state. The hose (Sean) was AMAZING and very accommodating! If you are wanting a secluded oasis, this is your place. I will absolutely book the place again!

this place was everything that we had hoped it would be. only complaint is we are not pet people and this place obviously was very pet friendly. the host is amazing with responding to every request politely and timely. we will definitely be staying with them again especially if they have a no pets property.

Our stay at the rental home was amazing. The beach was simply steps away. The owners provided all beach chairs, beach umbrella, rolling cooler & a beach wagon so it was very easy to pack up our gear & go every day. All beach towels were also included. We loved the fenced in backyard, which was perfect for our fur babies. The pool was also amazing. We could not be any happier with the total experience of renting this house. All instructions were clearly communicated in a very timely manner, & any correspondence with the owner was always answered very quickly. The house was very spacious. We had a total of 11 people & 3 dogs for our week long stay & with four bedrooms everyone was more than comfortable. There were also three full bathrooms, which was great & accommodated everyone to shower & get ready on a daily basis. The kitchen was well stocked with plates & silverware along with pots & pans, & it was very nice to see a ton games throughout the house for adults and children to play

Loved this little getaway. Off the main beach and very little traffic. The place screams “relax”. Loved the outside shower for getting rid of the sand. Most beautiful wind chimes. Short trip to beach and to some excellent restaurants.

Perfect location. Everything was clean and it was well-stocked. Check-out instructions were extremely minimal, it was nice to not feel like we had to spend hours leaving like some other places. It is right next to a public beach access, so there was a lot of foot traffic, but the people moved on quickly and settled further down the beach. I wish there were screens in the windows so that we could have opened them, but the sliding door does have a screen which was nice. The owner was very responsive and friendly. We really enjoyed ourselves!

We come to Oak Island every year and this house was by far our favorite we have ever stayed at and plan to come back here next year! The mattresses are so comfortable, the house was so clean, comfortable and cozy that it was a joy to come back to every day and it truly felt like a luxurious vacation. Every amenity was top notch, and we truly wanted for nothing while staying here. Having direct access to the beach, with an outdoor shower with hot water, and all of the beach chairs and sunshades you need was just incredible. We had the best time- thanks again!!

The view of the ocean was absolutely stunning—truly the kind of view you could stare at for hours. The deck was perfect for morning coffee, sunset watching, and everything in between. Inside, the place was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully put together to make us feel right at home. Emily was a fantastic host—responsive, kind, and quick to address any issues that came up. She genuinely cared about our comfort and even went above and beyond to compensate us for a minor inconvenience, which we really appreciated. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, beautiful escape with top-notch hospitality!

This was an absolutely perfect Topsail vacation home! We loved every minute of our stay. The location is absolutely fantastic. So close to the little local shops and restaurants as well as super close to the bridge going over to the mainland.. The house itself was spotless and quite comfortable. Had everything we needed to cook full meals. Plenty of kitchenware for our group of seven. Proximity to the beach is by far the most fantastic detail of this house! The little private sandy beach *yard* attached to the deck is awesome for kids and the beach itself just down a few steps is so amazing. We could even sit in bed and see the ocean waves! This is the best house with beach access and views we've stayed at in Topsail. Also positive to note, the entire property being fenced in felt incredibly safe for kids and was fantastic for our dog. We realized the apartment was a part of the rental unit and we were so pleasantly surprised! It was a great separate space! Overall highly recommend!

The house was exactly as pictured & Beata was so friendly & easy to communicate with. The house was very clean (by far the most clean pet-friendly home we have stayed in). You would have no idea it was pet friendly if you were traveling without four legged children. We can’t wait to return next year!

Peaceful Beach Getaway in Carolina Beach I had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb in Carolina Beach. The location was absolutely perfect—just a short walk from the beach, but tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private. It was the ideal spot to unwind and disconnect. Everything was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. I especially appreciated the quiet atmosphere—it made for a relaxing escape from the busyness of daily life. If you’re looking for a calm, coastal retreat with a great location, I highly recommend this place. I’d definitely love to come back again!

Joe's place was everything we needed. Being so close to the beach made it easy to walk there multiple times a day. His house was clean and had everything we needed. We brought our two dogs and the fenced in back yard made it easy to let them out and have a place to go. I really appreciated the water hose, which we used everyday to wash off our dogs after the beach, as well as the outdoor shower for us. I would definitely recommend Joes place for anyone looking for a cute place to stay within walking distance to the beach.
