The Winston is a beautiful old church in the retro town of Innisfail which we have been renovating for about a year. It’s about a 15 minute walk into town. The area has many attractions close by Paronella Park, Etty Bay where you will see cassowaries walking along the beach, Babinda Boulders, Josephine falls, the Mamu canopy walk, white water rafting in Tully and Mission beach just to name a few
“The photos don’t do this place any justice. We absolutely loved the gorgeous old church. The little niknaks around the place, was fascinating. Although it rained, both Bexley and Gavin made sure that we were comfortable. We made a fire every night, as well as a bbq. The little kitchen was entirely adequate. The bedrooms were tastefully decorated. A highlight for me was the amazing open showers and the water pressure.. believe me, that counts. The beds were super comfy and sheets crisp. Great value for money.”

“Myself and my partner booked into Paula’s last minute prior, we needed somewhere to rest for the night before we caught an early bus. The property was clean and had all the essentials we required. Paula was friendly on arrival and her responses were prompt. Her pets are adorable too. Thanks for our pleasant stay.”
We offer a self catering, air conditioned, spacious, ground floor, studio apartment with kitchen facilities and toilet and shower. Own entrance, parking. 5 mins to CBD. Suit couple. We have cats and a dog and will accept pets on application. Innisfail is famous for its Art Deco architecture and has a beautiful river esplanade where the North & South Johnson rivers meet. There are lovely river walking paths. Close to tropical beaches eg Etty Bay, Kurramine and Mission Beach.
“Thanks to James’ local tips, we saw five Wallabies and a Cassowary in one morning! I really appreciated this as I hadn’t seen much wildlife in Australia until this point. As regards the listing - accurately described and spotlessly clean studio space underneath Helen and James’ house. You must have a car to stay here. Also, listen to the GPS instructions that Helen kindly provides, as Apple Maps navigates incorrectly towards the end (which isn’t anybody’s fault). We met one of their pups which was lovely, 12 months old! I should quickly add that there isn’t any Wifi for those that expect it.”
