Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Hyde Park

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here! The house and views were so beautiful! Home was very clean and pretty much had every thing you need. She had toys and chairs for the beach for the kids which was awesome! Mary Anne was very accommodating when we told her that we had family coming through Vermont and let them stay with us for night! So great and grateful! Location is very peaceful and very well kept and would definitely come back and stay here! Thank you again for everything!

Our stay at Kari’s place was wonderful! From her responsiveness and flexibility, to her stunning place we felt right at home and enjoyed every minute of it. Sitting in the hot tub at the end of the night with a sky full of stars was the cherry on top. We recommend to anyone that if you’re considering this place, book it before someone else does! Kathy's cabin on the lake is the most magical place - quiet, peaceful and beautiful, the log cabin a throwback to an earlier time (but with great wifi). We sat on the dock with coffee and listened to the sound of loons out on the water. Kathy is also a great host. We will be back (we have actually stayed here a number of times because it's really the most lovely).

Staying at Tyler’s tiny house was an absolute dream! It was the perfect blend of cozy and modern with everything we needed for a weekend getaway. Loved the views and exploring the beautiful property. We wouldn’t have even known that there were other people staying near us if weren’t for the cars because of how peaceful and quiet the place was. Loved going to the hot tub whenever we got back, and it we couldn’t even tell that there was construction going on. Tyler also was very informative, leaving us detailed messages on how to get to the property and what to expect, etc. Thank you!

Amazing home and stocked with essential items I use at home but wouldn’t travel with or necessarily buy for a week out of town, like aluminum foil for baking without major messes and a handheld lemon juicer for my morning tea! Charming environment, kind neighbors, and peaceful getaway.

Great stay! The place was clean, quiet, and in a very central location. Helena was responsive and made everything easy. Would definitely recommend.

A charming cabin in the woods. it's an old house with modern amenities. Steps to upstairs are made of wooden logs. Beams in the house look original, hand cut with axe marks on them which was very interesting to see. Kitchen is large and modern, though we didn't use it. In short, it's a very beautiful and comfortable house.

Nathalie and Rebecca's place was extremely comfortable. Perfect for small-ish groups. The home was spotless and neat. The hosts laid out all of their directions very clearly, which was a big help because rural Vermont can be difficult to navigate. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and we had everything we could possibly need to prepare a variety of meals. We would absolutely stay here again while visiting Jay.

Staying at Gail's place was a treat. I came durring the off-season which was quiet and peaceful. Most of the resort area is closed outside winter and summer but there is a small market open during the day for convieniences. It's also a short drive away from many small towns. Standouts were Stowe and Waterbury which were wonderful to visit. There are so many trails to checkout in the area. Hiking up the mountain just outside the apartment is great and has an amazing view at sunset. Camels hump and various trails in the notch were awesome. It was even close enough where I took a day trip into the White Mountains. I stayed for 27 days. Durring the week I work remotely. The internet was enough for large conference calls with video during the day and I had no issues. In the evening there is a noticible slowdown. The Wifi is shared throughout the resort. The kitchen was easy to work with. And when you open the balcony door there is a small stream that offers fantastic white noise.

Bottom line: I would stay here again. The place is cozy and tidy. Carmin made obvious efforts to make the place welcoming. It’s a good location that’s removed from the congestion of the village center, but you can get there by car in 5 minutes. You can walk out the door and go for a hike. Water pressure in the shower is good. Carmin provides lots of local recommendations. Netflix readily available. Coffee and welcome snacks given. Heater heats up place quickly. If you’re a light sleeper, bring ear plugs as you can hear any car pass at night. The place is older, and as such has houseflies. They’re being managed, but it’s a little surprising at first. The place is clean. I didn’t find vent fans for the kitchen or bathroom, but there are windows close. The bed is fairly comfortable, on the softer side, but the pillows are noisy. The cookware is a little beat up (missing handles), but functional. We did not use the washer or dryer. Overall good stay.

This was our second day with Colleen. We were more than pleased. In our estimation, because we have stayed near Burke Mountain more than a few times, Colleen‘s place was by far the best place we have ever been to. We have already rescheduled visit number three. I really don’t think I can say enough to do it justice.

Claudia's place was PERFECT! If you are looking to explore Hardwick this is the only way to do it, easy check in and check out and literally spackle dab in the middle of town! Did I mention it's right above one of the most amazing coffee shops, with a great space to work, people with and enjoy delicious homemade bake goods and breakfast sandwich! I also enjoyed positive pie and cork and fork! Thank you so much for everything, felt right at home!

Second time I have booked from Scott, no regrets. Amazing host, amazing place! Quiet and private. Would come again for sure.

the place was even nicer than expected. very spacious and clean. great little fenced in area for the dogs to run around. 15min drive to Jay, and less than 5 min from a good restaurant, gas, and a grocery store. really appreciated the kids toys for our little one too!

We had a great time at Thomas’ Mansfield Suite. Very comfortable and well appointed. We found a binder with news articles regarding the history of the building, which was housed UVM’s outdoors club in the 60’s. We would absolutely rent again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. the space was very comfortable, clean, well equipped, and in a beautiful setting. We highly recommend this location!

Our fourth time staying in this unit; it really is a perfect jumping-off point to enjoy what Stowe has to offer. Great little space, ideal location right downtown, and an easy check-in/check-out process. Always glad to come back!

My husband and I stayed in National at 1854 House and we loved it! It was exactly as described, and Sarah was a terrific host. Everything was very clean, she was quick to respond, left detailed instructions about all the unit had to offer, and even gave us some local recommendations. The bed was comfortable, the view was great, and the swing in the living room was a wonderful extra touch. The location was perfect for exploring all of northern Vermont. We couldn’t have asked for a better trip. We would absolutely stay in National again. Definitely recommend!

Great place to stay. Beautiful walking trails and very peaceful in the off season. Enjoyed the over the mountain ride into Stowe each morning.

Jacques's apartment was very quaint and clean. Full Kitchen, bath and separate bedroom. I was just passing through and only stayed for the one night, but the little town looks like a very cool place to spend some time exploring in the future. The host greeted me curbside on arrival and even popped out to say good-by the following morning. Thanks for allowing me to stay at your place!

Lucy’s farmhouse was tranquil and peaceful. Very clean and well maintained. She was very responsive and friendly and made us feel like home. I would definitely recommend to everyone and will come back again

Want to stay in the heart of the town/Stowe? This is the place! Your own designated parking spot. Very close to many eating/drinking establishments...did I say VERY close? Sure, this may equate to as mentioned low-level early-morning sounds from the Bakery/Cafe below so simply rise and shine or pack accordingly! I didn't mind it at all and even if I did, one bite of their maple syrup croissant and all is forgiven! Affordable and Jesse's refund "peace of mind" policy were surely deal makers. BTW, The Black Cap Coffee & Bakery folks and their offerings rule! Actual DARK ROAST coffee...I made sure to purchase a bag of those beans to take home. The restaurant directly out our bathroom window, Cork, was superb in all aspects. Glad we decided to go there the first night.

My husband and I loved our stay at the slopeside condo. The chair lift is right next to the condo for easy ski access (AMAZING skiing btw). Inside, the condo is so clean and cozy. Emily (the co-host) was very nice and responsive with great local restaurant recommendations. We're already thinking of coming back next year!
