Holiday rentals with beach access in Humboldt County

The rocky cliffs waves crashing view is wowzy. The roads to get there are a bit nerve racking if your used to mostly flat roads.

Simple and comfortable place to stay in the village of Trinidad. Walkable to the harbor, market, breakfast, fresh seafood market. It is not fancy, but it is roomy and clean. Our family of 4 would definitely stay there again. We had a great time hiking the redwoods and beaches and do not need fancy digs with a hot tub and sweeping views (plenty fantastic views nearby). That said, there is a nice little backyard with table and chairs. Very enjoyable stay.

Very impressed, extremely clean, all amenities had been thought of. Beds, so comfortable. Cut my finger and there were bandages. Towels were so nice. We were very impressed overall. Not one thing to complain about. If we owned an Air B&B we would only hope it was this nice. Truly a great place. Plan on staying again.

This was a lovely newly renovated space that was perfect for my significant other and I. It had everything we needed for a weekend getaway and was right next to the downtown area and was a quick drive to the beach! Jake responded immediately to our messages and made sure we had everything we needed. It was the perfect place to relax in.

Theresa's place is an absolute gem of heavenly serenity! Located in the magical yet sleepy coastal hamlet of Shelter Cove, this is one of those rare accommodations, memories of which will last a life time. Theresa's studio is charmingly quaint and it will welcome you just as described. She's a great communicator and a very resourceful person when it comes to information about the local community as well as the redwood parks nearby. To top it off, the view of the Pacific (which is at a distance though) from the patio is just incredible. The kitchen was well stocked and the bathroom was squeaky clean and the studio was decked with just the right kind of furniture that you need to spend the weekend. 100% recommended, we will definitely visit again.

What a gem of a place, a little slice of heaven. A beautiful room with a gorgeous garden with big redwoods, and three very sweet and friendly pets. The two dogs and the cat brought so much warmth and life to the place. Karin was also very friendly and engaging, and had some great tips for things to see in the area. All this at a great price. This place will become my go-to stay whenever I come to the North California coast, that‘s for sure!

The house was AMAZING! The kitchen is stocked with everything needed once you've bought your groceries! The rooms were spacious and the grounds were well kept. A very beautiful home and we felt extremely comfortable staying there! Shelter Cove is a quiet beach town with lots of natural beauty, walking trails, and you've got to visit Black Sand Beach while there! Marc's house overlooks the Cove; we spent every evening watching the sun set over the ocean. What a peaceful place to be!!! On the only road in and out (Shelter Cove Rd) there is a stand of old growth Redwoods and a small parking area off the road where you can hike. A must see area while there. One thing to know is the road has many curves and some are really tight. You definitely want to plan your trip to the grocery store and get everything you need at one time - it takes about 50 minutes to the closest one in Redway. There is a small shop near the house but the prices are significantly higher there.

We had our family vacation at the Beach house, and it could not have been more perfect. Very close to restaurants and other amenities. Very comfortable beds, everything you need to cook, and the most amazing views of the ocean. - Mary We had the best accommodations! Beautiful home! Location was great and felt secluded, bed was super comfortable and had everything we needed! Loved our mini stay and would love to come back if we're in the area again!

Pilot Rock Cottage was a perfect destination and Steve was a wonderful host! The cottage was stocked with everything we could possibly need. Very comfortable. Terrific view of Trinidad Bay from the front windows and porch! Walking distance to restaurants and hiking trails. Easy launching point to visit other attractions in the area. We would love to stay there again!

Nice place to stay. Excellent kitchen

Michael was a great host, great home on a peaceful and quiet road. Home and neighboring homes are well kept and gorgeous landscapes. Not a far walk for ocean views, a little distance to the beach access if you walk- but it’s a nice walk ! Moonstone Grill is close as well as the town of Trinidad with quite a few restaurant options and local grocery store. Michael was very accommodating for our family, house was well kept. Had condiments in fridge, coffee beans and grinder as well as coffee maker to use which was appreciated! Plenty of towels for both bath/shower and jacuzzi use!

Loved our stay at Shelter Cove, the views were unbeatable and it was also a great night for stargazing. We enjoyed the balcony and the jacuzzi in the living room that looked out into the ocean. Everything was incredible comfortable, we would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful view, great host!

A great cozy stay with beautiful views and surroundings. The inside was nice and clean with plenty of amenities. The sounds of the oceans were peaceful. The sunset over the ocean was beautiful. The hot tub is a great addition. Would definitely stay there again.

We stopped at Simy’s for two nights during our honeymoon! The house and the beach were breathtaking and we enjoyed the quietness of the area in October. A few cute little restaurants and coffee shops but overall small town feel which we loved and we had everything we needed! Honestly, one of the absolute coolest places I have ever lodged at!
