Ortnevik is two and half hours north of Bergen, on the south side of the Sognefjord. It's a picturesque Norwegian village sitting by the fjord at the foot of the Stølsheimen National Park. The local ferry can take you to see a bit more of the surrounding area, such as Vik, Voss and Flåm. Along side the mountain and forest trails, fishing and rowing activities found here. We expect guests to clean the cabin to the same standard they found it in or there is the option of cleaning for 500 NOK.

A very simple accomondation away from everything, get back to basic, find yourself and relax. solar cell power, propan for cooking, 4G router, fireplace, water outside, toilet in seperate house outside approx 20m from cabin. Please note, this place is in the mountains 620meter above sea level, you must be dressed for the Norwegian mountain, car must be able to drive the gravel road to cabin. Cabin in beautiful Måren overlooking the Sognefjord

My cabin can be found in Høyanger municipality, in the small village of Måren. To get to Måren you have to take a ferry (MS Lysefjord) from Nordeide, Ortnevik or Vik. There are no shops or kiosks in Måren, so you need to plan well with regard to food and other things you would need during your stay. In other words, you have to shop everything you need before traveling over with the ferry. The cabin is fully equipped and has everything you need for a nice stay.

Recharge your batteries at this unique and quiet accommodation. Cozy, restored schoolhouse in a farm yard with views of mountains, water and a valley. Rented out for longer or shorter periods. Possibility of fishing from a boat or canoe in the nearby water. Great hiking terrain with both grazing and wild animals in the area, and opportunities for top hikes only a short drive away. There is no noise apart from the hypnotic rumble of the waterfalls coming down the spectacular mountains. The sea is 50 meters away, and for 1000 kr extra, you can rent a 14 foot rowing boat for fishing your own mouthwatering supper or just cruising around looking at the scenery.

House that was completely renovated in 2016. Contains kitchen, dining room, TV room, small living room, bathroom with toilet, one toilet, 6 bedrooms. 2 heat pumps and wood stove. Veranda + garden. The house is designed for up to 8 people but has several beds. Possibility of renting a 17-foot boat with 15 hp or 20 feet with 40 hp. 6 km from a staffed/self-service grocery store with opening hours 7-23. Many nice hiking opportunities nearby.
