The home is a 20 minute drive from Vik, where you can get groceries and restaurants, but it's a beautiful drive so we didn't mind it at all. We sat and watched the sky change over the fjord every morning.

300 year old storehouse for rent

JawadRating, 5 stars1 week ago
I absolutely loved this place – it was everything I hoped for and more. So cosy, private, and peaceful – a perfect little escape from the busy world. The cabin had such a warm and welcoming vibe, and the atmosphere made it feel like a true home away from home. It was stocked with firewood for the chimney, which added to the charm, especially on chilly evenings. The owners were lovely – they spoke excellent English and were incredibly helpful and friendly. When we needed a few basic things like milk and sugar, they went out of their way to help us out, which we really appreciated. Their hospitality made the stay even more special. The house itself was absolutely stunning – beautifully maintained and thoughtfully designed. It gave me that magical feeling of living in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by peace and nature, yet still feeling completely safe and cared for. If I could live in that home permanently, I honestly would – that’s how much I loved it.

A stay in the mountains along the Sognefjord?

Very cozy hut with old fashioned inventory. Amazing view! We had a very nice stay. The toilet is a bit far away, when it's raining

4 bedroom Summerhouse in Kyrkjebø

AnnickRating, 5 stars1 week ago
we found villa tippetue easily, very nicely located with views of the Sognefjord. we did indeed have to go through a piece of forest of about 70m first. unfortunately not much luck with the weather, we did see a little sun every day. the cottage has a very nice terrace with views of the fjord and a cozy living room. there were maps available for walks in the area, also detailed laminated maps. unfortunately the very local part was not present, probably accidentally taken by a previous visitor. We downloaded the Norwegian maps app Norgeskart. The walk stupet naveset tronvik - on the flank there - is also well indicated. There is a ladder and a section where ropes assist the descent (our dog could easily find his own way around). The ground was still quite wet and sometimes slippery (early June) in hoyanger also nice walking. To flam it is a good 3h drive. Recommended!

The old house at Solnes Gard

MargotRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We really enjoyed the 5 nights we spent at Kristin's and her family's. The place is charming, it's a small old country house on the shores of a lake, and there are quite a few hikes to do in the area (found on the ut point no website). Kristin took the time with her husband and children to take us to feed the alpacas and goats and answer my many questions about her breeding, it was a very interesting time and the animals are very cute. The house is equipped with everything you need and more; we were even able to make waffles in an electric waffle maker :D Finally, we are very grateful that she trusted us to come with our dog to her farm, as it could be stressful for her animals. Authentic stay 100% recommended

Big Cabin

Mountains on three sides and a fjord on the other. If you're looking for solitude at the end of the world, this is it. A piece of advice, it's a single lane road in with blind corners and hills, so be ready to stop on a dime for on coming traffic. Also, the local market will have essentially anything you'd need, but they have eccentric hours so I'd recommend bringing along a day's worth of food to be safe.
