The Maverick is a Surf & Yoga Resort in Lourinhã / Portugal, one hour north of Lisbon and 15 minutes south of Peniche. The 5 luxurious and comfortable adjacent villas are located in the countryside quietness, featuring great views, a huge garden with scenic swimming pool, slack line, sand volley ball field, hammock and various chill-areas.
Close to scenic beaches, surf spots and places of cultural interest, the houses are the perfect getaway for your holiday away from the crowds.

The space
Your stay is an entire experience consisting of everything we love: surf, yoga, sun, sea, salt, food, friends, laughter and good vibes. Your holiday is just that easy at the Maverick.

The Maverick Surfvillas are the perfect choice for active people (surfers and no-surfers) who like fun, beach, nature, sea, and most of all, a good and socializing atmosphere. The houses have a lively, warm and welcoming feel and are appropriate for all: solo travelers, couples and groups. -
The villas share one large beautiful garden, the perfect playground for young and grown-ups alike. Spend your days enjoying the infinity swimming pool, beach volleyball, yoga shala, slack-line, boules, basketball and our chillout wintergarden.

The double room is situated on the first floor with a comfortable bamboo double bed and and access to a large balcony facing west, perfect for the sunset. The room has access to the two shared bathrooms with luxury shower in the villa. Breakfast is included in the room price during the season April - October.

Guest access
The house offers spacious communal areas which give you the opportunity of mixing with other guests. On the various terraces and balconies you’ll will surely find a spot all day to enjoy the sun or watch the sunset in the evening.

The villa kitchens, BBQ and Pizza Oven are free to use for everyone to prepare your own meals. There are several good restaurants in the area that we are happy to recommend to you.

Other things to note
The Maverick is located close to Portugal's best surf spots for all levels from beginners to advanced surfers. You can join a surf course with our in-house surf school or rent equipment. There are many beaches within 10-15 min driving distance to choose from whether you are surfing, beach walking or sunbathing.

YOGA - we will have you feeling blissed out in no time.

Yoga in our beautiful yoga shala is a truly special experience. Practicing with the peaceful views to the countryside, is the perfect way to reconnect with the mind and body. Whether you're a curious beginner, just discovered yoga or an experienced practitioner, each class is designed to be accessible to all.

The Maverick is located in the countryside quietness, 10min to the nearest beach. A small village with cafes and restaurants is in walking distance. It's great to relax, going for walks, runs or taking a ride with our bikes.

The next beach is Praia da Areia Branca, a small summer beach town with lots of cafés, bars and restaurants.

As much as you like. Due to the Corona pandemic, we are limiting guest interaction as much as possible.
