The space
These units are an ideal option for couples or individuals who want to enjoy convenience within a natural setting.

With a kitchenette, bathroom, and a main area which features a comfortable queen bed and built-in window seat to enjoy the view, there is plenty of space to spread out in and a degree of separation from the neighbours which allows for a sense of privacy.

Hotel Bruny and Sunset Beach are only a two minute walk away, so you can walk to lunch or dinner, catch the sunset & enjoy a few drinks without having to worry about driving afterward. If you are a little bit lucky you might spot the resident white wallaby, sea eagles and wedgetail eagles during your time walking to and from the hotel and beach.

Sunset beach typically has calm waters and is a good beach for swimming. You can take an enjoyable walk along the beach to the Alonnah jetty, which happens to be a piece of the historic Hobart floating bridge. From the jetty, the beautiful seaside Dray track continues north up the coast and is an enjoyable walk with many scenic views of the channel, rugged beaches and the mainland.

We operate a dynamic family business 365 days/year, and we love hospitality!

We are pleased to manage a number of vacation homes and shacks for Tasmanian families, and take great pride in connecting individuals and families with amazing places to explore. We love our beautiful island state, and we love helping others to share in enjoying it!

When we aren't being AirBnB hosts, we're running meals and pouring drinks at Hotel Bruny, pruning the orchard for Bruny Island Cider, having fun with photography, paddle-boarding in the d'Entrecasteaux channel, skiing, kayaking, washing dishes, flying planes, composting a few tonnes of scraps/year, chopping wood, painting pictures, learning languages, designing stuff, raising chickens, and most importantly - raising a family.

We like craft beer, sparkling water, slow food and a vibrant life.

We love being here. Ask us anything - we would love to help.

During your stay

The reception is through the friendly team at Hotel Bruny, and is open from 11am until close. The Hotel is always open for a good deal of time after the last ferry arrives at Bruny Island, so you don't need to fret if you are coming over to the island later in the day. We are here to help and we look forward to welcoming you!

If you need any checkin assistance, or if you are thinking of coming to the Hotel for lunch or dinner, please give us a call - although we cannot put our phone number here, it is easy to find online.

We can be quite busy during the lunch and dinner rush and highly recommend making reservations in order to secure a table with us at your desired time.
