This is one of the few places in the area with free parking.
Delightful heritage bedroom with twelve foot ceiling and king bed. The bathroom features a double spa bath, and tea, coffee, biscuits, sweets and port are provided, along with all bedding and towels. The tariff includes a full cooked and continental breakfast, and guests are welcome to use the guest lounge in the dining room and also the English cottage style garden.

The space
The house has a cosy, Georgian country manor house atmosphere, filled with fresh flowers from our cottage garden. Behind our English style hedge is a lovely cottage garden which guests are welcome to explore and enjoy. We have two very friendly sheep, a Tasmanian Smithfield Sheepdog, a gorgeous little cat and 7 chickens.

Guest access
Guest are welcome to relax in the lounge in the unique barrel vaulted dining room (originally a ballroom), and use the outdoor seating and BBQ in the garden. We encourage guests to enjoy our lovely cottage garden and orchard.

We love Tasmania's northern midlands and the wonderful rural landscape around Longford, and enjoy making our guests feel welcome in this wonderful heritage listed Georgian house.

I am passionate about cooking our beautiful Tasmanian fresh produce (especially desserts), gardening, good wine, antiques, and painting botanic watercolours and birds.

We also love our animals, and are slaves to one very small cat, a young Smithfield Collie (a Tasmanian sheepdog breed), and custodians of two gorgeous black sheep and eight chooks.

When not at the Racecourse Inn we love to get out and explore around Tasmania's northern midlands and the Great Western Tiers.
