Set amongst rural pastures backing on to Morton National Park, The Laurels B&B, built in 1919, offers four en-suited guest bedrooms featuring a wood fire, period furniture, spacious verandas and an established garden.

The space
Situated in Kangaroo Valley in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, The Laurels B&B is a short 5 minute drive from the centre of Kangaroo Valley Village. Set amongst rural pastures backing on to Morton National Park, The Laurels, built in 1919, features a wood fire, period furniture, spacious verandas and an established garden complete with vegetable patch and chicken coop.

Each of the four well-appointed bedrooms offers wonderful king sized beds, white linen, electric blankets, Flat Screen televisions and private ensuite bathrooms as well as tea and coffee making facilities.

Each room can be booked individually for couples or in conjunction for groups of up to eight.

A traditional country-style cooked breakfast is served to guests each morning in the Dining Room, reminiscent of times gone by.

The Laurels B&B is a 15 minute drive from Cambawarra Mountain Lookout, Tallowa Dam and the famous Fitzroy Falls and a 30 minute drive to both the Southern Highlands and the South Coast. Sydney International Airport is a 2.5 hour drive away.

Room Descriptions

The Belmore Room: (35 SQM)

This carpeted room offers guests a wonderfully tranquil setting, a hand crafted king size bed, ensuite bathroom and Flat Screen television with views over the neighbouring pastures. French doors provide direct access to the verandah.

Facilities:

Ensuite bathroom, hair dryer, Flat Screen TV, electric blanket, tea and coffee making facilities, refrigerator, deck, garden, towels and linen.

The Sitting Room

This room, complete with two lovely traditional sofas, provides guests with a place to relax, sit by the fire, read, or enjoy a glass of wine. Soft light from the chandelier and the impressive chiffonier creates a classic, old-world ambience. With large French doors opening on to the spacious verandah, this room is a place to rest and relax.

A complimentary glass of wine and cheese is offered in the Sitting Room daily at 5:00pm

The Dining Room

Furnished in dark mahogany, with polished hardwood floors, the Dining Room features a beautiful dining table, a 19th century hand carved side board, piano and collection of porcelain and crystal. With views towards the front of the property, the original laurel trees, planted over 100 years ago, provide a stunning backdrop of grazing cattle framed by towering escarpments.

Guest access
In addition to their rooms, Guests can enjoy a complimentary glass of wine and cheese board in the Sitting Room daily at 5:00pm.

Guests are also welcome to explore the grounds of the property and enjoy the established gardens, surrounding pastures, and abundant wildlife in the adjacent Morton National Park.

Other things to note
Guests enjoy a home-cooked, country style breakfast in the Dining Room daily between 8:30am and 9.30am.
