We had a wonderful stay! The property was delightful with many outstanding features. Very nicely equipped too and the beds so comfortable. Stunning views and space around was perfect. The hosts were excellent...very informative, alwayszavailable and extremely friendly. We'd definitely like to stay here again. The young children loved it too.

Lara’s place was lovely and very easy to get too. On arrival we parked outside the property which was a bonus and was greeted with a lovely chocolate cake and a bottle of Prosecco. We loved sitting in the garden of a morning and an added bonus was the summer house! The easy walk into York took around 20 minutes along the river. Such a beautiful walk. We had a wonderful stay at this lovely, spacious home! The house was perfect for our group—it was clean, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing weekend. One of the biggest highlights was the location—just a short drive and walk to the wedding we were attending, which made everything so convenient. It was great to be able to get ready together in such a nice space and come back to unwind after the celebration. The host was friendly and responsive, and check-in was smooth and easy. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone attending events in the area or just looking for a peaceful getaway in a beautiful home.

I stay here every now and then when I am travelling for work and I love my stay every time. Clean and tidy, and always milk and a soft drink left in the fridge. Parking facilities too! Highly recommend

We had a wonderful stay at the Cow Shed. When we arrived, we thought it looked better than the photos! Christina was welcoming and really helpful. We really appreciated having a travel cot and highchair waiting for us! Our little boy loved seeing the goats and chickens in the gardens and there was plenty of toys for him to play with, he was delighted. The location was also really easy to get to and perfect for our family visit in Wetherby. We hope to come back again soon, thank you 😊

Lovely stay at the Shed - we've been before and it was just as good if not better second time round

Great weekend in York on a girls trip. The house was perfectly located within a short walk to York centre. The house was comfortable and as described. The parking was ideal for one car. Our only downside was lots of the plates and cutlery were dirty eg tea stained cups, spoons and left over food underneath plates. This is obviously down to previous guests not cleaning things properly as there is no dishwasher. Jemma provided lots of cleaning products and the house is beautifully decorated. We most definitely would stay again.

We had a lovely 3 night stay as a party of 6 plus a little one. James communicated well without throughout and we were even able to check in early. Even when the power for hot tub had tripped James was on it straight away. Would definitely recommend staying and look forward to booking again

We visited gardeners cottage for a 30th birthday treat - the cottage itself was just as described, beautiful decor and felt very comfortable. Peaceful surroundings with beautiful well kept gardens to explore. Unfortunately the hot water wouldn’t work during our stay but we were promptly moved to an absolutely beautiful suite in the main hall (luxury toiletries a huge bonus), drinks waiting on ice and given a tasty breakfast the following morning. Nothing was too much trouble, Ellie especially was great. All staff were so friendly and kind which was much appreciated especially with us travelling with a little one. We ate dinner at the hall and it was the best food we probably have ever eaten. Although we didn’t have the stay we had originally planned it turned out to be even better - thank you! We will definitely return! X

Lovely stay over the New Year period. Great location with just a short walk into Pocklingto where there are lots of places to eat and drink. Would recommend.

We’ve just returned from a fantastic five days at Birdforth Hall. The accommodation is brilliant and very spacious even with 8 adults and 3 babies. The pool is great and the perfect temperature, and the other entertainment on offer is great. We would recommend it to anyone looking for a break away!

Had an amazing weekend at Rachael's caravan, this was our second visit and we 100% plan on coming again. Rachael is a wonderful host who is easy to contact and she takes pride in her beautiful caravan. The caravan was extremely clean, comfortable and very homely, as the weather was warm we spent most of our time outside on the decking which had plenty of seating space and the hot tub was a great added extra enjoyed mostly by the kids. There was plenty to do onsite including the swimming pool, a private dog park where you can let your doggos off lead and play. The staff at the main reception were friendly and helpful and the bar area was clean with lots food and drink options. We would highly recommend coming to stay at Serendipity and we will be visiting again.

Victoria’s place was lovely. It’s had absolutely everything we needed, was spotless, and the beds were comfortable. We found the distance into town a nice walk. Would have liked to stay longer and would certainly stay again. Thank you for hosting us!

We found the annex perfect for our short stay. We were attending a family wedding at Skipbridge, so the location was perfect for us. The annex was as described with the added bonus of milk in the fridge for that well earned cuppa on arrival. We didn't personally meet the host, due to the nature of our visit, but communication was quick & helpful. We would use the annex again, if we were visiting that area.

We loved our stay in this beautiful spacious home. So peaceful at night. Minutes from the bus into town which my daughter loved, and having a garden whilst being so close to town was wonderful. It has everything you need including comfy beds. We had a takeaway from the local Indian a five minute walk away which was delicious. Highly recommend.

Beautiful and cosy little cottage in a picturesque village a 15/20 minute drive from York. We stayed in winter &, besides anything else, the log burning fire alone made it ultra cosy whilst the winds outside blew. The cottage had all the amenities for us to feel at home, including a very good shower and full kitchen. Rich was a very friendly and responsive host who was more than willing to accommodate our request to bring our dog too. Thank you very much for letting us stay!!

My family and I stayed at this beautiful cottage last month while we were down visiting family. We arrived to an easy lockbox and we were amazed by how stunning and spacious it was. There was everything we needed while staying there and it was fully equipped compared to most air B&B we have stayed at. The garden was super spacious and our boys loved playing out there. The kitchen/diner stole the show and that's where we spent most of our time. It's perfect for families or small groups to hang out and socialise. I have already recommended the place to family and friends and we will certainly stay again. Thank you for such a pleasant stay. We absolutely loved it.😁

What an amazing place to stay. Cannot speak highly enough of the entire experience. Beautiful home, and a lovely peaceful location, but not too far from main roads for day trips out. Lovely country lanes to walk the dog and not too far to get a park and ride into York for the day. The accommodation was spotless, and so beautiful, and had all the amenities you needed. We loved sitting on the sofa, watching out over the wildlife in the field. We wished we had booked to stay for longer as soon as we walked in! Great communication with the hosts. We really can’t wait to come back. Can’t recommend this stay enough! Thank you!!
