“This guesthouse really exceeded my expectations! It was super clean and the breakfast on top was an amazing bonus. Your room may be a bit far from the car park but it wasn’t too much of an issue for us. Would highly recommend staying here”
It is good for guests to know that I have a dog called Fönn, she is very friendly. Our home is located about 12km from Höfn. In our neighbourhood you can go on small hikes, walk by the river and nature. We are surrounded by mountains an the biggest glaicer in Europe Vatnajökull. To reach Glacier Lagoon (Jökulsárlón you need to drive approximately 85km to south. Stokksnes/Vestrahorn is about 20km east there you can walk on a black beach.
“Hands down the greatest Airbnb experience I’ve ever had. Heida and her family were more than welcoming, offering a warm, cozy, deliciously smelling house that made for the highlight of our vacation. This is exactly what Airbnb should be, generous local hosts, a beautifully decorated home, and a community atmosphere, all for a good price. A must for anyone traveling through the area and looking for an authentic, local experience.”
A small and cozy cabin in the quiet of the countryside, just under a mountain with a beautiful glacier as it's neighbor. With two bedrooms, one double bed and two single beds, dining and sitting area, with t.v and free wifi, well equipt kitchen. Large patio with outdoor furniture and bbq. Ideal for a quiet holiday in the countryside with beautiful hiking grounds, a geothermal hot tubs a short walk away and nature all around, and spectacular view of the northen lights during winter.
“Really lovely cabin in stunning Hoffell. Would really recommend to anyone wanting to experience the beauty of the South East. The views from the cabin are amazing in all directions and the cabin is warm and cosy and has all you need to prepare meals and generally relax. There was a big snowstorm that came in during our stay, which was very exciting to watch from the warmth of the cabin. Our hosts made us feel so welcome by letting us stay warm indoors until the ring road opened up again. We'd love to stay again, in any season as it really feels like it would be magical any time :). We got a real taste of rural Icelandic life, and appreciated the proximity to Höfn to get some fresh bakery items and supplies from the supermarket (Netto).”
