HOTORI, a lakeside holiday villa | A whole villa where you can enjoy BBQ and stunning views | Maximum 13 people

HOTORI, a private rental villa located on the shore of Lake Otsuka. This building was originally designed by an architect as his own home. It is located in the place where you can enjoy the most beautiful view of Lake Otsuka, and all living spaces are on the second floor. From the large windows in the living room, you can enjoy the seasonal lakeside scenery. There is a well-maintained Japanese garden on the property where you can spend a relaxing time. In summer, many guests enjoy BBQs in the garden, and it is popular for family and group trips. (BBQ equipment can be rented for a fee.) There is also direct access from the property to the promenade by Lake Otsuka. Morning walks and runs are exceptional, and you may encounter swans and wild birds. You can also walk to the hot bath facility on the opposite side of the pond. HOTORI is an accommodation for spending a relaxing time with your loved ones, such as on a three-generation family trip, a gathering of relatives for a wedding or memorial service, a reunion with friends, or a group trip. It has excellent access not only to Mito City but also to the Oarai and Hitachinaka areas, making it a convenient base for watching sports and participating in events. Admire the scenery, relax in the garden, chat, and take a walk. Enjoy a special time in a lakeside house that you cannot experience in a hotel.

Newly built detached house with Finnish sauna. You can enjoy the aroma of lowryo while looking out at the sea.

This is a seaside hideaway where the sound of the waves is quiet. It is a sauna accommodation for adults to spend time away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and to relax and return to themselves. This sauna was inspired by a small sauna on the waterfront that I visited in Finland. In that sauna, instead of competing for heat, "quiet time" flowed quietly while valuing quiet conversation and harmony with nature. I still have a strong impression of the people who gathered there, talking softly while treating the room and its furnishings with great care, and sometimes looking silently at the scenery outside. I hope that this inn will also cherish that kind of atmosphere. Enjoy your sauna time at your own pace, while conversing with the people you spend time with, enjoying the quiet flow of time, the comfort of the wind on your skin, and the ocean in front of you. We would appreciate it if you could be mindful of the volume of your voice and the amount of noise, and use the equipment and facilities carefully. We would appreciate it if you could appreciate the thoughtfulness and tranquility that is part of Finnish sauna culture. Clear your five senses and relax. May the time you spend in the sauna, which can only be experienced here, be a time for you to relax.

[Freestanding house in nature] Riverside log house – BBQ/outdoor bath/hammock/fishing/starry sky

Luana House: a log house nestled by the river and surrounded by nature A secluded single-family home located on the border between Ibaraki and Tochigi prefectures, approximately two hours from Tokyo. You can enjoy a peaceful stay, as if you were at a resort somewhere. You can fish all year round in the river right in front of you, and swimming and kayaking are also popular activities. On the spacious covered deck, you can enjoy a BBQ (authentic American grill) or socialise without worrying about the weather (optional, ¥3,000). From the veranda, you have a private view of the river. You can watch the sunrise while swinging in a hammock, read a book, or work remotely. At night, the outdoor bath is lit by a starry sky. You can watch Netflix and other services on either the first or second floor. Convenient access to popular tourist destinations such as Mt Nasu, Nikko and Twin Ring Motegi. This property is not a hotel; it is a holiday rental carefully managed by the owner. I would also be delighted if all our guests could enjoy their stay with the same level of care and respect as if it were their own holiday home. Escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy a relaxing time for both body and mind at Luana House.
