We can prepare Japanese futons for four people in a Japanese-style room furnished with antique Japanese furniture. There are four 90 cm x 200 cm single beds in the Western-style room. If it feels small, you can also use them side by side to create a larger bed, as they are all the same size. Hirosaki Park, the venue for the cherry blossom festival, the main street where the Nebuta floats pass, and popular yakiniku restaurants and izakayas, which are also popular with guests at other listings, are all within a 5-minute walk. If you are coming by car or with a rental car, There is also a car park a 1-2 minute walk away. You can park all day for about 700 yen, which is very cheap and convenient. We have inherited this house and have been protecting it while gradually restoring the neglected garden over the past 10 years. There is no TV in Shirotsubaki. Instead, we value making tea, looking at the garden, reading books, and talking with family and friends. More than 80 types of plants and trees grow in the garden, and the camellias that were once grown by the tea ceremony master are once again in bloom. On the natural stone terrace, you can enjoy reading or tea time without worrying about prying eyes. The tea room still retains the meticulous work of Kyoto craftsmen, and time passes quietly and calmly. During your stay, please choose your favourite from the authentic tea bowls and enjoy the experience of making matcha yourself. We provide a tea whisk and matcha. There is also a library where you can experience Japanese culture and art, and a small study, the "Reading & Writing Nook", bathed in soft light through the shoji. Shirotsubaki is not an inn for visiting tourist destinations. It is an inn where you can experience the peaceful way of life that Japanese people have cherished since ancient times.
