Nagasaki Sakashuku is a project to carefully renovate vacant houses on slopes in Nagasaki into shops and accommodations. It is a 5-minute walk from the Nagasaki Electric Railway "Kofukuji" stop. We renovated a row house built before the war along the old Mogi Highway. 10-minute walk to Shikanbashi, the downtown area of Nagasaki. It is a 15-minute walk to the tourist street, and it is relatively conveniently located close to the city, while you can also experience the cityscape that is typical of Nagasaki. Meganebashi, Chinatown, and Dejima are within walking distance. The building is located along the historic Mogi Highway, and can be reached by going up a hill from Shofukuji Station, past Shokakuji Temple, the site of Takashima's former residence, and Hakusan Shrine. The renovation has been modernized, including the kitchen, toilet, bathroom, and washroom, while taking advantage of the pillars and beams of the time. There is a coin parking lot nearby. Having lived here for 50 years, the trees in the yard have grown large and envelop the house that was rebuilt 20 years ago. When the morning sun rises, the birds begin to chirp, the crickets begin to sing, and shadows are cast on the wet edges. When the sun sets, the sky is full of stars, and on moonlit nights, you can see the shadow of the Buddhist priest. You'll be able to slowly feel the time change throughout the day.
