Ama Om's Homestay(Bhutanese Farm Stay )

Tucked away in the village of Jawana (which means the village beneath the cliff), about 20 min drive through a farm road from the main road near Punakha Dzong is a Bhutanese treasure called Aum Wangmo Homestay. The 5-acre farm has been in Aum Wangmo’s family for about 200 years, since her great-great-grandfather’s time. Well maintained, the farmhouse has been repaired, extended and renovated to house two modern toilets/bathrooms and five rooms to accommodate 10 tourists comfortably.

Set in lush green surroundings you will get a farmhouse feel with beautiful gardens and orchards. In the garden we have many fruit trees and seasonal organic vegetables. It is a ground floor unit with one big room. There is one kitchen and one bathroom. There is a private sitting area at the entrance where the guests can sit in and enjoy nature while sipping on hot tea.
