Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Hardenburgh

What an excellent stay - this airbnb was incredibly well stocked with kitchen supplies, games, extra linens, really anything that one could want. Amenities were high quality and very thoughtful.

Nora’s house stands out as one of the best that I have stayed in. It feels like visiting the home of a relative who has taken care to ensure modern comforts while preserving the character and history of the home. It’s full of antique furniture and special treasures from china plates to vintage games. The views are breathtaking from indoors or out, and the covered deck allows for grilling or lounging even in the rain. One note: the pull-down stairs to the loft are quite steep. We used it as a daytime clubhouse until our kids, ages 9 and 10, got the courage to sleep up there on our last night. We loved hiking along the creek and visiting the farm animals. Bring tall wading boots if you are visiting in cool weather! Although we could see the adorable pigs and goats from the living room, we thankfully couldn’t smell or hear them unless we went down the hill to say hello. Nora was helpful, responsive, and friendly. I am grateful to her for making our stay so special. Highly recommended!

Very comfortable home. We loved sitting on the porch, listening to the sound of Stoney Clove Creek, or relaxing around the fire pit out back. On one rainy day, we had a fire in the wood stove, which made the living room very cozy. The kitchen had all the things necessary to prepare meals, and I particularly enjoyed the three different methods for brewing coffee that were made available. Wow, what a lamp collection! I highly recommend this property for those who wish to enjoy all the Catskill Preserve has to offer.

Another review said it was more beautiful than the pictures and I agree! The home and space was so serene even though it was a bit rainy. My partner and I felt safe and visited some food recommendations. We highly recommend mornings! And We hope to go back! Paul was truly an amazing and responsive host

We loved our stay at Lauren's place! The hot tub was of course a highlight, and we spent a lot of time just hanging on the Adirondack chairs by the fire pit. Nice touches like linen robes, and everything felt tidy and cozy!

My family and I had a wonderful time here even in the rain! It’s so cozy and beautiful. We had a blast sitting by the fire to make s’mores. The kids had lots of space to run and play too! The Mountain View was everything you could ever want. I never wanted to leave. Host was very responsive when I had a question. It was extremely quiet and beautiful. The towns nearby were also very charming.

Our family and close friends stayed at Frank's during our brother's wedding that was down the road at Full Moon Resort. Frank's was the perfect home away from home! We loved how secluded the home felt but yet it was close to everything. We loved having the sliding doors open to be able to listen to the creek and soak in all of the sunshine. The house is extremely spacious and well stocked. We loved being able to have additional friends & family stop by to visit throughout the weekend before the wedding festivities. Frank is an amazing host and we hope to be back in Big Indian for another visit! Thank you!

We loved how quiet and peaceful the location was. We also loved the homey touches- the local books, the honor store out back, the fact that there was the cafe under the apartment. The setting was beautiful and we loved falling asleep to the sound of the brook and the spring peepers!

Donna's place was immaculate easy to find shes very responsive. For us personally we needed to make adjustments but she is more than willing to work with us. Appreciate the offer to stay. Highly recommend.

A perfect little apartment in a perfect 300 year-old stone house. Privacy. Serenity. Calm beauty. Accommodating host. Every uptown Kingston attraction and restaurant within a few minutes walk. Easy parking. A good night's sleep. Can't say that it's clutter-free, but who cares, it's really charming and that bathroom is SO relaxing with both a giant rain shower and old fashioned tub. Perfect.

Beautiful place to stay in Rhinebeck Village! Walkable to shops and restaurants. Located in a very pretty neighborhood, and being close to a beautiful creek, is a wonderful setting! Very clean inside and nicely decorated. There is no basic cable TV so be sure to bring your Roku stick or anything else you need, assuming you want access TV during your stay.

Excellent!! Exceeded our expectations. Maryann was a generous and responsive host. The grounds are beautiful. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. If you get the chance to stay there do not hesitate.

We were in the area for my daughter's college graduation, and the "shack," as it's known, was perfect for us. It's comfortable, well-appointed with cool amenities (big, super-comfy bed, full bathtub, lots of vintage fixtures and furniture and a woodstove). What's really cool is that the dwelling's modest facade belies a remarkable spaciousness once you get inside - like the Charmed Wizarding Tents in "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire." It's sort of a loft, with small spaces above in the front and rear, but the real attraction is the cavernous space in between. It's quiet, but surrounded by restaurants and other small businesses and a small park that hosts a farmers' market on Sundays. Don't miss the standout cuisine at Garden House, the Middle-Eastern restaurant right across the lane. It's a hub for a small, sweet community of older folks who add real warmth to the place, and the food is incredibly good. Comfort with a sense of adventure. Would we stay here again? Definitely.

This was a lovely getaway, went up for Memorial Day Weekend and getting some nature in at Minnewaska state park, it was rainy this weekend so we ended up having more time at the house then planned but we were so cozy it was a delight, we had some empty tanks for the grill when we arrived but the hosts offered to reimburse us for the refuel which was very kind, also had a friend who left their jacket and keys and Kyle and Jasmine have been wonderful in helping them get it back! A great cozy stay, the ride up was scenic

This was an absolute dream of a property. They have thought of absolutely everything to make you not have to leave to enjoy your time. There were endless amounts of things for our kids and family to do in the home and on the property’s lake front. This truly felt like a peaceful relaxing vacation which is just what we needed. We would have driven double the distance (already almost 3 hours away from us) because we loved being there so much. We cannot wait to come back now that we’ve found a little peace of heaven here. Everything was absolutely amazing. We felt at home the entire stay and had everything we needed. Carl was really easy to work with. I mistakenly booked the trip a day shorter than needed. At the last minute I realized my mistake and Carl was quick to respond that adding an extra day was no problem. The system had a problem though allowing me to book an overnight stay on the same day I “checked out,” but Carl worked back and forth with me and with AirBnb help until I was finally able to book that extra night. Carl remained professional, calm, and polite, even though I know that was probably stressful and a pain to deal with. The problem was 100% on me, but he helped to fix it with such grace. I really appreciate the professionalism. I highly recommend both Carl and this specific rental. Thank you!

Our family weekend at Casa Julia was awesome. All 3 generations loved the layout of the house and the beautiful lake across the street. The house was nicely decorated, matched the pictures, and had everything we needed. It was a great home base for relaxation and exploring the Catskills!

This place is incredible. There are so many places for small group conversations and hangout time. It felt like being in two houses. Bedrooms are lovely and varied, kitchen is well stocked. Lighting is soft and plentiful, with lots of natural light during the day. We loved spending time around the fireplace and out on the deck. Thank you for creating such a wonderful property!!

We had a great time staying here! The house was clean and matched the description perfectly. It's the perfect place to stay to go skiing in the winter or hiking in the summer!
