Holiday rentals with a hot tub in Halifax Harbour

Beautiful place to retreat from the business of life and work for a couple of days. Charlie and Rebecca were amazingly helpful and the place was setup to make us and our two dogs feel completely at home. The kitchen equipment and available pantry items were so handy for making a small meal rather than eating out for every meal. Highly recommend relaxing here if you want a slightly remote getaway.

We enjoyed staying at Robert's fabulously decorated home. It is a unique home in a beautiful setting; it's not often we get to stay in a home with exotic birds, friendly ducks, and a dinosaur room. And Robert is an excellent host. It's a great location for seeing the area - many attractions within a 1-2 hour drive. We would stay here again if our travels bring us back to Nova Scotia.

Our stay at Mark and Kassy’s home was comfortable and relaxing.The home was spotless and well organized.The kitchen appliances and bathroom are in excellent condition and well appointed.There is back porch with a grill,gas fire pit and outdoor jacuzzi which we did not use. The home is located a short distance to the center of this charming peaceful town. We highly recommend this property and would stay again the next time we’re in Lunenburg.

We loved our stay here. Great location for getting to different places. Beds were super comfortable. Nice front porch to sit and relax in the evening. Owners live on the property so you will pass by eachother, they are really friendly.

Randy’s property is absolutely stunning and super private. It had everything I needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of my crazy life. He brought fresh firewood over and showed me how to use the fireplace. The added touches of his beautifully designed furniture and decor just made the whole home feel so cozy and unique. I love that he displayed some beautiful art from local artists as well. I made good use of the sauna and hot tub. Everything was immaculate and clean. I would highly suggest booking Randy’s spot - if you can find an opening in their very busy calendar! One thing to note is that it is not close to restaurants but that did not bother me as I brought my own food and had the option to cook, which I prefer! There’s also filtered water for drinking in the kitchen. Such an elevated but also rustic home away from home.

Our trip to Nova Scotia was a special celebration for our daughter. We chose the Den of Zen for a number of reasons, all of which exceeded our expectations: beautiful setting on a lake; clean and modern interior; an elixir of natural light from a wall of windows; use of great amenities such as a sauna, hot tub, and grill; close to Halifax/airport and easy access to routes for day trips; and comfortable beds. What was remarkable was the incredible hospitality of our hostess, Shelley, who made the trip THE best by offering attraction suggestions and keeping in touch to answer our questions. She was so attentive. We highly recommend a stay at the Den of Zen!

Wonderful spot. Well appointed and a bonus my small little four legged friend could join us. The view and new oceanside deck were spectacular. My only wish was that we could have had great weather. Mother nature wasn't on our side. Thanks for sharing your home with us. Cheers! Nicole

We had a fantastic weekend staying at Karen and Dan’s! This is the second time that we go as a group of friends to unwind and have a relaxing weekend together at their place. We loved having a campfire by the water and getting to use the hot tub. We look forward to being there again!

This was our daughters first vacation out of the province so we were unsure of how it would go as she had just turned 4. We had such a lovely stay at Sarah's cozy lakefront cottage! It was peaceful and quiet — the perfect spot to relax and recharge. The location was great, with easy access to nearby attractions and some beautiful beaches close by as well as some others 1-2 hrs drive away. The host was friendly and made us feel right at home. The beds were really comfortable, which made for a great night’s sleep after days spent exploring. Our daughter was thrilled with all the toys available, and we really enjoyed the selection of board games for some fun family evenings. We’d absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a calm, family-friendly getaway. We’d love to come back some day - our daughter did not want to come home.

If you are looking for a place to kick back, relax and make some memories this is the place. The sunrises from the loft were magnificent- and the short walk to enjoy coffee on the lake was well worth it. Indoor and outdoor areas were well thought out, and just added to our overall experience. We will definitely be back :)

Lina and family were so friendly, kind, and accommodating. When we couldn’t figure out the fire table she was so quick to help us figure it out— to be very clear, it was definitely user error lol. The location was beautiful, the hot tub was divine. It was the best way to spend my 30th birthday. We are so impressed with the whole experience. Thank you times a million to our sweet host. :)

Great spot to visit for a weekend getaway! Even though the cabin is attached to their house, the hosts made us feel secluded and welcome.

I liked that the drive was just about one hour from Halifax. The place was pet friendly. Hot tub was great. The sofa there is next level. I am purchasing the same sofa from my rec room. Overall our stay was great!

The Woodlots At Croft Lake is a beautiful place to stay! It had great amenities that guests can enjoy (canoes, kayaks, bikes and a hot tub. The rails to trails is very close and there’s a path through the woods that can get you to the trial. The place was extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable! The hosts thought of everything to make our stay a comfortable one from games to cookies waiting for us at arrival. The hosts left an extremely detailed binder for operating instructions for everything from the ceiling fans to the hot tub which was extremely helpful. Will definitely be back!
