Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
Its Lemon Season! Nestled between secluded beaches (5min walk) and a private valley, Tiny Lemon Farm is an escape where cockatoos flock, kangaroos hop and the sound of waves fill the night air.

Trade our lemons for scoops at the gelati clinic. Walk to Jaggers (private beach) and hear whale song. Do cocktails by the fire (inside or out). Or just kick back to the sound of birds and waves.

Only 5mins from town, our modern, barn style house is a sanctuary of peace and calm for up to 6 guests.

The space
Set on 5 magical hectares, Tiny Lemon Farm was once a thriving, small scale orchard that we are working to reinvent and bring back to life.

The house has a modern farm house feel, having once been a fruit packing shed before being re-imagined by a master builder.

There is plenty of space to spread out across the open plan kitchen, living and dining areas, including indoor and outdoor fire spaces with wood supplied in winter months and comfy couches to lounge around on.

The house overlooks the lemon orchard to the west featuring a newly dug dam with deck, and a towering tree line of gums. You'll also glimpse an ephemeral wetland we are working to bring back to glory.

The kitchen includes a 6 burner gas stove and large oven, perfect for cooking up a feast. Morning light streams in to the breakfast bar over the eastern courtyard complete with fire-pit, rustic log seating and warm outdoor lighting.

We include complementary tea, ground coffee and sugar from the local organic wholefood supplier.

The deep verandah includes deck chairs, a new webber bbq and an outdoor table.

There are three bedrooms, with one queen, two doubles and all linen and pillows provided.

Features our guests love include:
* beautiful large bath for soaking, and stunning walk in shower (now with home made bath salts)
* being immersed in nature, but just a 5min drive to town
* luxurious feel to the home inside
* 5min walk to a stunning private beach (Jaggers beach - not patrolled)
* pick lemons from the orchard and trade them for scoops at Gelati Clinic (about 4 lemons gets you one scoop of gelati)
* free, unlimited wi-fi access with sonos speaker
* stove top coffee pot with freshly ground beans provided
* wood fire with wood supplied (May to September), and a split system a/c for all other times
* excellent book collection and some games to get through rainy days

Now known as "Tiny Lemon Farm", we are working to restore this unique 5 hectare property to its former glory including substantial new plantings of flowering trees and shrubs (grevillea, banksia, protea, melaleuca, leucadendron) restoration of a sensitive wetland zone (she-oak, melaleuca), new niche forestry plantings (bunya pine, illawarra plum) and of course an orchard expansion.

Please note: our property care taker lives onsite. Pets are very welcome, and friendly dogs are free to roam (at your risk - kangaroos, ticks and snakes are about). Dogs that are aggressive or just not very social, are best kept on lead when outside.

Guest access
Plenty of room to park up a car, boat and trailer, in our generous U-shaped drive. Pull up alongside the house to a carport on the eastern side for easiest access day to day.

You can walk to a private beach (mind the steps) nearby, or head into town for great coffee, swimming spots and more - parking is almost never a problem in town

Other things to note
Tiny Lemon Farm is a 15 acre property, bordering "the bush", with a dam and wildlife coming and going all the time - this includes the potential to encounter snakes and ticks if you go wandering. There are fences, but they will not secure curious pets or adventurous children, so please keep them on a tight leash (the pets that is) or at least keep a close eye.

Neighbourhood highlights

This forgotten NSW coast line feels like it stretches on forever, marked by distinctive spotted gum, pristine waters and energy from another time.

Our favourite family outing is Bermagui main beach. It is patrolled during the summer months with a gentle swell, perfect for small humans. The Blue Pool is a must for visitors, best enjoyed in morning light - beware high tide and rough seas, as this pool is not patrolled.

Camel Rock (a 10 minute drive north) is a spectacular spot, popular for surfers. To the south, Baragoot and Cuttagee beaches stretch for days. In the summer months, Cuttagee lake is a popular swimming spot for locals.

Bermagui punches above its weight with plenty of cafes, restaurants and food supply stores to choose from. Here are just a few:

Get in early for baked goods, as they often sell out at Honorbread;

For the best Pide in NSW, try Mister Hope (excellent coffee too);

Vegetarian breakfast and outstanding coffee - Go to Boneless;

Australia’s best independant cellar - Bermagui Cellars;

And of course, The infamous Gelati Clinic where you can trade our lemons for scoops (about 4 lemons = 1 scoop)

My work: Renewable energy
While my day job is at a desk in the renewable energy industry, I love creating in the natural landscape. For me, Tiny Lemon Farm is a 5 hectare canvas, balancing orchard expansion and food production, with landscape restoration to support the local ecology, and of course enhancing the natural beauty and guest experiences. I get a buzz everytime guests stay. It is special to share this space with others, and get a sense of the joy that brings.
