We are in a friendly and quiet suburb Livi, exactly 4.5km from the city Cesis and 3.5km from the longest ski slopes in Latvia (Ozolkalns & Zagarkalns).

When I refurbished the place, my aim was to create a place to relax, read or hideaway to focus on work. Located in the neighbourhood, where all the city life is just a 5-10 minutes walk away and at the same time, it does not feel as city at all as the forest and river walk is just around the corner. I am glad to share it with likeminded travellers and I will be glad to share all those little tips and tricks about places in Cesis, worthwhile to experience - from nature spots to cosy pubs :-)

Cosy holiday house in forest

Cozy holiday house LIELMEŽI located in quiet nature 60km from Riga. Great place to enjoy silence and nature far away from city noises. House has two levels. On the ground floor there is cosy living room with fireplace, kitchen, bathroom and sauna. On the second floor there are 3 bedrooms, a small hall with a balcony and toilet. Each bedroom has two single beds that can be transformed into a double bed. Or alternatively - a double bed in each bedroom can be transformed into 2 single beds.

At Rudas Lapsa (Lejas Akmeņlauži)

Namiņš atrodas ērtā vietā starp Cēsīm, Siguldu un Līgatni pie paša Gaujas nacionālā parka. Plašais īpašums nodrošina viensētas privātumu. No namiņa balkona paveras skats uz Kumadas upītes ieleju un mežiem. Īpašuma robeža šajā vietā iet pa Kumadas upīti un līdz ar to tai ir brīva piekļuve un iespējas pastaigām dabā. Upītē dzīvo foreles tāpēc droši, ka ūdens ir ļoti tīrs. Namiņu ieskauj meži un jaunaudze, pagalmā ir ugunskura vietas, volejbola laukums un pieejams arī kubls.

Retreat House

The house reopened on June 1, 2026, with a newly completed interior. Fully renovated, it now offers running water, a bathroom with shower, and all essential amenities, along with a sauna and a private natural pool. A hidden retreat set within forest and wild fields, it lies just 15 minutes from the Baltic Sea and a quiet lake. This carefully preserved 19th-century farmhouse offers peace, simplicity, and complete solitude, fully off-grid and without neighbors in sight.

Vacation home by the lake with sauna

A beautiful natural vacation home with sauna by the lake. Perfect for eight people. Owners live in the other house nearby (can be seen in pictures). Whole vacation home is at guests disposal. On the property is volley ball, basketball, beach and plenty of green space. There is also a possibility to rent a boat and go around the lake. The lake is located about 90 m from the house in direct line. Private beach is about 150 m form the house across the road.

Cuckoo the cabin

A tiny cabin surrounded by forest, located approximately 44 km away from the border of Riga city. Cuckoo the cabin sits next to a pond, where you can have a swim right away, but if you want to enjoy the seaside - it’s 2 km from the cabin - have a 25 minute walk (recommended) or take the car if feeling lazy. This is your perfect spot for a peaceful getaway!

Flower sauna

For the comfort of guests, there is an octagonal log building with a spacious sauna. And on the second floor there are beds for seven guests. Get peace from the daily rush by bathing in the spacious Ziedu sauna and enjoying a peaceful rest in the gazebo as well as by the fire. A pond for a small swim is also available.
