Take the trip to Dingja and stay in a lake house from the 1800s. Dingja is a small village at the outlet of Sognefjorden. The lake arch is cozy and functional, and is located in the marina with terrace beyond the sea. Here there are fishing opportunities in the sea, fresh water and river Lots of nice hiking trails in mountains to each other and lookout points. Hike to ancient settlements and cemetery from Viking teams at historical Dingeneset. Nearest neighbor is Dingja storkiosk. From the sea room there is a 3 min walk to child-friendly sandy beach.

About winter there are opportunities for skiing right outside the door, or 30 minutes by car to the ski lift in Stordalen. This is short and good place for peace of mind and tranquility

Rich archery where you can walk all the way out to the lighthouse lantern. Gulatingsparken, 20 min by car Bicycle roads. During the winter months you can experience the Northern Lights, or beautiful starry sky . The ferry goes over the fjord, and to Solund.(free ferry) Remember to shop before you arrive, not shop in Rutledal. Welcome.

A beautiful, newly renovated country house with an old-fashioned interior. The house is of historical value. Just a 7 minute drive from the main highway and you will find yourself in a small village. A great option for an overnight trip from Bergen to the north. Or a great opportunity to relax in the silence of the countryside. This is the place for those seeking peace and quiet, swimming life, mountains and fishing trips. Down at the harbor in Dingja there is a kiosk with food, fuel, washing machine and boat rental. The cabin has two beds of 120 cm and two of 75 cm. Bed linens, towels and cleaning are included. No Internet or television. No smoking.

Super spacious place, in a quite bay on an lovely island! That being said: Bente’s place has lots to offer. Spacious bathroom, large bedrooms, extra large living room and a dinner table that can easily host six persons. The kitchen has everyhing you need and more than what you’d ask for in an AirBnB. The souroundings are super nice and there are plenty of hiking opportunities that are easy to reach by car. We had a great time at Bente’s place!

Is a absolutely fantastic house to spend the evening in with beautiful views and large rooms. Accommodates 6 people without feeling cramped, and large kitchen to make good food. Hilde Krisitin was very welcoming, friendly and responsive. Will absolutely return there for a third time!

If I could give this stay 10 stars, I would. Helga and her family are outstanding hosts who will go great lengths to make your trip memorable. The location of the house is unbelievable, peaceful and private. Everything was very clean, the kitchen is well equipped and the backyard was a dream for our 3 children. The living room is spacious and comfortable, the rooms are cozy and have blackout blinds and curtains for maximum comfort. There’s a river walking distance where my son enjoyed fishing. Grocery store is 20min away. Helga treated us like family, invited us to get immersed in the local festivities and made sure we were having a good time. She’s by far the best host we have ever had. Our trip to Norway was unforgettable mainly because of her recommendations and the complete comfort her house provided. Thank you for such wonderful experience. We hope to be back!

Cabin in the ocean gap

This is the perfect place to get away from it all, wind down and recover from the craziness of every day life! We enjoyed sitting in the living room or at the dining table or standing in the kitchen and watching the sea: dolphins came by, gulls, sea eagles, the Hurtigruten. Out the window we could see waves, waterfalls, mountains, islands. The house is cosy and simple but beautifully decorated with a lot of love and attention - very personal and well equipped. Trond and his parents were very helpful, told us about events, where to go, took us shopping in the boat and fishing. We highly recommend this beautiful house to anyone who is wanting to escape! It's helpful if you can handle boats - then you get around a bit more.

We spent less than a week in Lisa-Mary's house in Austrheim in August and felt very comfortable. It's a beautiful old but renovated wooden house where nothing is lacking. The place is quiet and secluded and invites you to hike and slow down. Nevertheless, all major shops can be reached within a few minutes by car and in 1 hour you can also easily drive to Bergen. There are also some promising fishing spots in the surrounding area ;) Thank you for this wonderful week.

Very nice place, large and in a lovely location. Well-stocked for cooking, also because there's only one restaurant nearby with limited opening hours ( do the shopping before you arrive and pay attention to the hours of the supermarkets that close early). Very kind and helpful host. Highly recommended.
