Staying here with loved ones and close friends opens your five senses, soothes your mind and body, and brings new insights and ideas. In addition to summer river fun and winter snow fun, the Lithuanian barrel sauna and bathing in the source spring right in front of you are highly regarded as a 'sauna experience from another dimension'. During the green season, we have an outdoor fire pit (with a teepee set up depending on the time of year), and in winter, we have an indoor wood-burning stove.You can enjoy a profound moment of conversation while gazing at the fire. Location Opened in May 2024. Located in the heart of Takayama's historic district, Makoto-ya Ojin is a stylish inn in 1-chome, Ojin-cho, Takayama City, where the good old Japanese landscape remains. In front of our house, which is sandwiched between the Hida-Buri Highway that connects the former Toyama and Takayama, there are the Nissho-bu Mingei Kan and the Yoshima residence, which are important cultural properties that show the rich cultural assets of Japan, and this area is designated as a preservation district for traditional buildings. You can enjoy the old town and beautiful scenery while experiencing historic buildings. It is a 2-minute walk to Miyagawa Morning Market and a 5-minute walk to Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine, the site of the autumn Takayama Festival. The festival stall in this area is called Hōmeita, and it has a variety of decorations such as a palanquin and sculptures (1-minute walk to the stall).
