The Little House is a freestanding 1940’s wooden tiny house in our back garden. It has a private exterior bathroom located at the back of the main house. Our property was featured on the ABC program Escape From The City and is a uniquely cute piece of North Nowra history. The Little House has a private verandah and kitchenette. A complimentary light breakfast is included for short stays. There is also a fire pit.

Shoalhaven Heads Botanical Gardens

Created by a team of dedicated volunteers from the local community, Shoalhaven Heads Botanical Gardens showcases native Australian plants and flowers such as the striking Banksia, acacia, and hakea. Conservationists and environmentalists will also be able to learn a great deal about local methods of forest fire prevention through the lens of how Australia’s vegetation evolved to withstand bushfires. Pass through these 2.5 acres to explore the plant nursery and spot more than 20 species of birds and colourful bees, butterflies, moths, and beetles. The gardens are a half an hour away from Greenwell Point and can easily be combined with nearby destinations.

Comerong Island Nature Reserve

This beautiful nature reserve is located just across Comerong Bay from Greenwell Point. As an estuary habitat, it is a great spot for bird-watching and it is also popular for surfing, swimming, paddling, and kayaking. The island is very quiet and you may even have the beach all to yourself. The reserve is less than an hour away from Greenwell Point, or you can also take a car ferry from Nowra or hire a boat from Greenwell Point.
