Holiday rentals with a patio in Great Slave Lake

After we came back from the Aurora chasing tour, we continued to watch Aurora from the balcony and living room until 4 AM. The light was amazing, and it wasn’t going to stop! We had to go to bed cause our next tour was 5 hours later. The next night we heard that Yellowknife was out of electricity. People were not able to check in to the hotel or buy groceries. I wasn’t sure how it affected the airport, but I heard that they couldn’t use the luggage carousel. Luckily, George was prepared. Our place was one of the only buildings that had a backup generator, so we were comfortable and warm. We really appreciate that we stayed with the best place!  

The apartment is wonderful， clean, with an amazing view of the lake and very well-equipped amenities. It’s in a good location, and George is a nice host. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed staying in this beautiful 3rd story apartment. Everything was very comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. We had great weather so spent a lot of time on the deck watching the float planes and boats come and go. It’s in the perfect location to walk around Old Town- close to Bullocks restaurant and The Woodward/NWT Brewing Co (and across the street from the still closed Wild Cat Cafe). Parking was good- no issues. The sunrise/sunset/continuous sun! views were amazing. We would love to come back to Yellowknife and would try to stay here again!

Zabey was a very friendly host that was very accommodating! Place was spotless and will definitely be booking again!

This was our second time staying at Allice’s Airbnb, and once again, it was a wonderful experience. The space was spotless and well-maintained and had everything that we needed for a two-week stay. We especially appreciated Allice and Tamar's attentiveness and responsiveness. During our stay, the weather was hot and smoky at times, but Allice quickly brought us small air coolers for our room and a Dyson air purifier, which made a huge difference in keeping us comfortable. We really appreciated the care and hospitality—would absolutely stay again!

Words cannot describe how wonderful this experience was. This family is a gem, and they did everything they could and more to make us feel at home. Because of them we truly experienced Yellowknife -- and this space, with its charming comforts, cleanliness, WARMTH, hospitality and friendship will forever live in our minds as one of the best places we've ever stayed, period!!! A beautiful home in a lovely neighbourhood, so close to town, and with wonderful, wonderful hosts. One truly cannot ask for more.

It was a wonderful stay! The host was extremely communicative and very helpful, even lending me a charging cable for my laptop. It was very comfortable and a great value!

We had a great time in Yellowknife, and this rental was the perfect location, right on the lake with view of the Aurora. Home was clean, warm, and welcoming, with great views. Had everything we needed for our weeks stay. Really got the feeling of what its like to live in yellowknife.

House was very roomy and well stocked. Felt at home

Tonya and Tom were very welcoming and made sure to check in to have what we need for an enjoyable stay. They are such lovely people who connects with you but also gives you the space and privacy you need. They also have a lovely dog that is happy to show you around and helps you get settled in. The airbnb was spacious, and homey, it’s easy to feel relaxed after a long day of exploration. I’ll be staying with them again for sure :)

Nelson was a good host. Place was as advertised and was clean and what I was expecting. He messaged a few times asking how things were and was friendly when I ran into him after guests in another room checked out. There was an issue with the keypad on the front door one night but Nelson was responsible and took care of it. The only drawback is its over 1km to the closest amenity which can be challenging if you don't have a car. There is a bus stop nearby but the busses run gerally once and hour and don't operate in the evenings after 7pm and on Sundays.
