Off-grid Granite Creek Cabin

A true off-grid cabin. Solar power, spring water, on 160 acres surrounded by Umatilla NFS Land. True seclusion and solitude if you need to relax and get away from it all (except there is internet). Recreation abounds with hiking trails, lakes, snowmobiling and more. May update! My cleaners have quit, so guests must clean the cabin to a similar condition as when they arrived. $100 cleaning fee refunded if left as before. Not much effort, a couple hours. Will update if cleaners found.

The Chalet is 1000 ft. above the valley and town of John Day Oregon. Great view of the town and valley to the east and Canyon Mt. to the south. Completely outfitted and ready for you to move into and enjoy. It is a Classic High Desert Decor complete with horse shoes and deer showing up for visits.Thanks for the notice. And for your information and knowledge, All linens and towels etc are changed after each rental and all surfaces and faucets, knobs and handles are sterilized too.

Wake Up to Wedding Cake! Stellar Cabin can be your private hideaway. Soak in the wood fired hot tub and gaze up at a blanket of stars. Cook a steak on the grill, make dinner in the fun cook shack and sit around and watch evening come. John Day Fossil Beds are close by. Hike Blue Basin, swim in the river or dig for fossils! We are out of range for most cell service, but it's close by. Wifi available at host house if needed! And pets are welcome!

Basic amenities include shampoo, conditioner, coffee, tea and basic spices.

We may not have a view but we have a great cozy environment inside and out for you to enjoy and relax in. Only 15 minutes from the Strawberries and John Day. A great spot when visiting the Painted Hills, Sumpter or just passing through to Joseph or Idaho.

This was a great place to stay. We were hunting elk, leaving early in the morning and returning late in the evening. For us to be able to make our own meals, wash clothes, and relax in the quiet was perfect. Hope to get this place again.

We had a fantastic stay at Kerri's place in Dayville, Oregon! From the moment we arrived, Kerri made us feel incredibly welcome with her warm hospitality and attention to detail. The accommodations were spotless, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The location is perfect for exploring the stunning natural beauty of the area, with easy access to the John Day Fossil Beds and Painted Hills. We particularly enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and the opportunity to disconnect and unwind. Kerri went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable stay. We highly recommend staying at Kerri's place if you're visiting Dayville. We can't wait to return!

David's listing was a very clean, un- cluttered, and fresh. Location was amazing if you want to explore the John Day units. Hiking abounds. 9 miles down the county road we stayed on, is beautiful black canyon. An hour drive and enjoy the strawberry wilderness. Our stay met and checked all the boxes.

Lauralyn is the best and her little house is the perfect place to stay to explore all that the John Day valley has to offer. Couldn't ask for better value in her house. Ive stayed here multiple times and am planning for it to become a yearly vacation destination.
