The house itself is spacious, a bit old-school, but warm and comfortably furnished, with original art works by famous Kenyan artists. The garden is a treasure trove of birds and trees and flowering plants.

The Cottage lies on a peaceful and secluded tea farm of 5 acres and has extensive river frontage. A covered kitchen on the porch provides a self catering option. Guests will find many spots for exploration along the river. The location is ideal for both relaxation and outdoor activities like fishing, hiking, birding, cultural trips and forest exploration. Full board available upon request.

Our cozy cottage is nestled in the Limuru Highlands, amongst the lush tea plantations and is a charming and peaceful retreat location for discerning guests. Ideal for couples or solo travelers looking to recharge and is also very private. Guests can hike amongst the tea, ride their bicycles and wander with their dogs at leisure. Horse riding is also available if you book in advance. We are located 1 hr from the international airport, 40 mins from Karen, 35 minutes from the UN.

Hornbill Cottage

A lovely 1 bedroom house nestled in a serene & sort after area of Muthaiga. The cottage is set in the "green" area of Nairobi bordering the famous Karura Forest. We are located close to shopping malls, hospitals, schools & restaurants. Inside the cottage is an open plan lounge with wood burning stove, kitchen & dinning. The bedroom has a king-size bed & bay window with views over the forest. Attached to the cottage is a garden, perfect to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning.
