During WINTER: must have AWD or FWD, experience driving in serious winter weather (snow, severe wind, extreme cold); the cabin is located on gravel roads & dirt driveway. Off grid/dry cabin - camping cabin, no electricity, no running water, wood stove, replica antique rope platform bed and single cots (sleeping pad recommended).Cabin is located in a meadow next to a stream and surrounded by public land. Bathroom is an outhouse with compost/bucket toilet. Come prepared with your own bedding,lighting, and cookware/eating utensils. Cabin was originally built at the north entrance to Yellowstone in the 1930s and moved to its current location/refurbished recently.

We added family antiques, new mattresses and original art (lotsa comfort and love). The covered porch is high in the trees with breathtaking views 1000 feet above the Yellowstone River. The cabin features two queen-sized beds, one California king-sized bed, and two full bathrooms. This cabin is child-friendly and easily accessible from Highway 20. There's ample parking, and we also have ramp access for those who can’t use stairs.
